Regular Meeting
DATE: June 3, 1974 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: C. Pottorff, President, W. Rahn, G. Ansley,
L. Taylor, G. Taylor, R. Selfridge, Trustees
were present. Trustee, H. Gehrke was absent.
President Pottorff opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag at 7:30
p.m. Ro11 call was taken. Trustee, H. Gehrke was absent.
Minutes of the May meetings were approved as printed on motion by W. Rahn..,
seconded by L. Taylor. Motion carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve payment of current invoices. Seconded by
W. Rahn. All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
G. Taylor made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 7$2, amending Chapter 9, Article
9, Section 9-6-3 of the Codified Ordinances (Trucks, Vans, Campers and any
Vehicle that tends to restrict the vision of drivers of parked vehicles are
not to be parked on Lockport Street between Desplaines and Illinois Street).
Seconded by W. Rahn. All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
The following bids were submitted and opened:

Rod Baker Fard Sales, Inc. -74 Custom 500 (in stock) 3,575.00

G. Taylar made a motion the Village accept the one bid of Rod Baker Ford
Sales, Ind. for a 74 Custom Ford 500, 4 door sedan for $3,575.00. Seconded
by L. Taylor. All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
R. Selfridge made a motion to authorize Walter Deuchler Associates, Inc. to
put out bids for the repair of Village Streets. Seconded by L. Taylar. All
ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING June 3, 197/+
L. Taylor made a motion to have the Village Engineer install a ir-.atch-basin
at the Acoustiflex Corporation property, 811 Center Street, to alleviate
drainage problems. Seconded by G. Taylor. Motion carried.
L. Taylor made a motion to have Village Engineer prepare preliminary plans
applying for Federal Grant on improvements of Eastern Avenue, James Street
and Pratt Vane. Seconded by W. Rahn. All ayes, no nays. Motion carried.
On motion by W. Rahn, seconded by L. Taylor, meeting adjourned to an
Executa.ve Session to discuss hiring personnel.
