PLAINI'IELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
Regular Meeting
DATE: May 20, 1974 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: C, Pottorff, President, W. Rahn, G. Ansley,
L. Taylor, G. Taylor, R. Selfridge, Trustees
were present. Trustee, H. Gehrke was absent.
President Pottarff opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag at 7:30
p.m. Roll call was taken. Trustee, Harvey Gehrke was absent.
The Treasurer's Report was approved on motion by W. Rahn, seconded by
L. Taylor. Motion carried,
L. Taylor made a oration to issue checks in the amount of $3,680.00
respectively to Kingston J. Tuttle and Eunice June Harney for
condemnation of Plaza Drive. Seconded by W. Rahn. All ayes, no nays.
Motion carried.
The Police Board announced the recommendation to hire Jerry Shlensky on
a six months probationary period as full time patrolman.
L, Taylor made a motion to confirm the Police Board recommendation. Seconded
by W. Rahn. Motion carried.
L. Taylor made a motion to employ Melvin Lance on Auxiliary Police Force.
Seconded by G. Taylor. Motion carried.
Village Attorney announced the petition of Ralph Bada, Paul Graver and
Audrey Graver be dismissed at their request.
L. Taylor made a motion that the Bada and Graver petition for Pre-~annexa.tion
Agreement and Zoning be dismissed as requested. Seconded by G. Ansley.
Motion carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to adjourn the meeting to an Executive Session to
discuss purchase of property and hiring personnel. Seconded by W. Rahn.
