PLAINFTELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
Regular Meeting
DATE: April 1, 1974 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: C. Pottorff, President, W. Rahn,
H. Gehrke, G. Ansley, L. Taylor,
Trustees were present. Trustees,
G. Taylor and R. Selfridge were absent.
President Pottorff opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag at
7:30 p.m. Roll call was taken. Trustees G. Taylor and R. Selfridge
were absent.
Minutes of the March meetings were approved as corrected on motion by
W. Rahn and seconded by G. Ansley. Motion carried.
L. Taylor made a motion to approve the payment of the current invoices.
Seconded by W. Rahn. All ayes, nn nays. Motion carried.
~ A petition containing 15 signatures was presented to the .Board opposing
the Board's choice of the merchants parking lot for the new Municipal
Building. L. Taylor stated we wanted to go on record as being opposed
to the parking lot location for the new building and had he been present
for voting at the last Board meeting he would have voted "no".
President Pottorff appointed Steven Judy and Richaxd Leidig to the
Planning Commission and Zoning Board of .Appeals to fill the balance of the
terms left by Kenneth. Scott and Jack Worden. W. Rahn made a motion to
approve the appointments of Judy and Leidig. Seconded by L. Taylor.
Motion carried.
President Pottorff announced April 28 thru May 4 as Civil Aefense Week
in Plainfield.
H. Gehrke made a motion to grant $200.00 to Civil Defense to complete
the remodeling of their building. Seconded by L. Taylor. All ayes, no
nays. Motion carried.

VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING April ~., 1974
It was agreed the next Board meeting would be April 22nd instead of
April 16th due to Easter weekend.
On motion the .meeting adjourned.
