Ansley, J. D'Arcy, J. Graham, J. King, L. Robinson and C. Smith President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag. Roll call was taken. All members of the Board were present. J. King made a motion to approve current invoices far payment. Seconded by J. D'Arcy, Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to accept the receipt of the report of the Plan Commission. J. D'Arcy made a motion to accept the recommendation of the Plan Commission that the Village Board send a letter to the Will County government objecting the proposed rezoning of Case ~~2236C - Elmhurst Chicago Stone property. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye., 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. At $:00 p.m. the following bid was read for sidewalk replacement: Robert Baish Construction - $50.00 per section - 4" thick; 4' x 5' sections of sidewalk J. King made a motion to accept receipt of the bid. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Motion declared carried. C. Smith made a motion to rebid for the replacement of sidewalks for 100, 200, and 300 sections of sidewalk (4' x 5' - 4" thick). Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to accept the recommendation of the Plan Commission that the Village Board send a letter to the Will County government objecting to the proposed rezoning of Case ~~2243C - E. & E. Hauling, Tnc. property. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. Public Hearing was conducted relative to Case 494-51980A - Petition to annex. No letters of abjection were filed no were any objectors present': J. D'Arcy made a motion to adopt Ordinance ~~973 W Chapter 7, Article 8, Section 8-74: Annexation. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. Public Hearing was conducted relative to Case 495-51980A2 - Petition to annex certain parts of Van Dyke Road. No letters of objection were filed nor were any objectors present. J. D'Arcy made a motion to adopt Ordinance 4974 - Chapter 7, Article 8, Section 8-75; An Ordinance annexing certain parts of Van Dyke Road. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith,. aye; Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye'. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. -2- PLAINFxELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES May 19, 1980 Regular Meeting J. King made a motion to adopt Ordinance 4975 - Chapter 9, Article $:An Ordinance amending Chapter 9, Article 8, Section 8-3 of the Code of Ordinances, Village of Plainfield; License Fee as corrected. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley,. aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. G. Ansley made a motion that the Village Engineer and Village Planner direct a letter to Kerr Glass, Julius Wile & Co., Trinity Bag, Super Value, 2artic, and Distillers Ltd. to outline the' alternatives available at this time regarding monitoring the industrial waste products in an effort to track down the offending slugs of waste which have upset the treatment plant. Upon receipt of comments in the affirmative by 100% of the industries, Lorin Robinson shall be authorized to proceed to place the necessary orders for equipment and services to begin the monitoring process. Seconded by J. King. Vote by tall call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye.; Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. L. Robinson made a motion to pay Great Lakes Co. in the amount of $168.35 for dispatchers uniforms with the stipulation that any further purchases be brought before the Board for approval. No second. G. Ansley made a motion to table the previous motion. No second. C. Smith made a motion to pay Tomich & Sons $2,550.00 for the Annual Spring Clean-up day. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, ape; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; and King, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. President announced the Village Clerk's office will be closed May 24th. due to the Memorial weekend holiday. Meeting adjourned 10:12 p.m. Shirley L. tes, it e Clerk
