Ansley, J. D'Arcy, J. King, L. Robinson, and C. Smith. J. Graham absent. President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with. the pledge to the flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee, J. Graham was absent. G. Ansley made a motion to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, .aye; and D'Arcy, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. Board granted permission to the Plainfield High School Drama Production Class, under the direction of Miss Edie Koopman, to display a banner across Lockport St. between Central School and the Standard Station, announcing, to the public, information about their upcoming musical "The Wizard of Oz" to be May 2,May 3, and May 4, 19$0. L. Robinson made a motion to adopt a Resolution requesting a formalized agreement between the Village of Plainfield and Will County designating the Plainfield Emergency Operations Center as the point of command and coordination of Will County Emergency response in the event of a nuclear incident at the Dresden Nuclear Power Station. Seconded by J. King. Vote by ro11 call: King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and D'Arcy, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. Board granted permission for Shirley Yates and Ann Martin to attend Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund Workshop May 15, 1980 in Kankakee, Illinois. L. Robinson made a motion for Ann Hintze, Village Planner, to attend the Local Historic Ordinance and Landmark Commission Preservation Seminar, May 17th. Evanston, Illinois in the amount of $12.00. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and D'Arcy, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to adopt Ordinance ~~970; Chapter 8, Article 8, Variations to Zoning Ordinance IE674, granted by action of the Village of Plainfield Board of Trustees, Section 8-5: Variation of Minimum set back and side yard requirements for 217 Main Street. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and D'Arcy, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to adopt Ordiance 4971; Chapter 9, Article 9, An Ordinance establishing parallel parking only for 217 Main Street. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: King, aye;, Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and D'Arcy, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. At $:00 p.m. the following bids were read for the annual Spring Clean-up Day for May l6, 1980: Tony;Tomich and Sons, Inc. - $2,525.00 A-Way Disposal Service - $2,760.00 J. King made a motion to accept receipt of the bids. Seconded by L. Robinson. Motion declared carried. J. D'Arcy made a motion to accept the bid from Tony Tomich and Sons, lnc. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by tall call: King, .aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and D'Arcy, aye. Motion declared carried. At 8:07 p.m. the President called the Federal Revenue Sharing Hearing to order. The following requests were presented: Sister Mary Frances Seeley - Crisis Line of Will County - $1,000.00 Mrs. Karen Sprau - Family Counseling Agency in Will County - $1,475.00 President appointed the following committee to serve on the Federal Revenue Sharing Budget - George Ansley, John D'Arcy, Edward Geschke to have it prepared for the next board meeting. J. D'Arcy made a motioi~~~to prxx~liase a Hahneclipse lawnmower in the amount of $340.00 Seconded by S. Smiih:...-.. Vote by roll call: King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and D'Arcy, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. G. Ansley made a motion to purchase a Haines-Criss Cross public directory in the amount of $96.00. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; Ansley, aye; and D'Arcy, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. On motion meeting adjourned to executive session 9:37 p.m. Pres~.dent reopened the adjaurned meeting at 10:30 p.m. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. ~.. Shirley L.
