Thurs. July 6 , 1920.
The Board of Public tlorks of the City. of Richmond , Iridlana,
met in regular session in the office of the said Board Thurs.
July 8 , 1920, at 9 A.M. A11 the members of the said Board be-
ing present Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Peitz the following
proceedings were had to-wit : -
Upon the recommendation of Mr. Miller, Fire Chief, Mr. Peitz
moved that the applications for appointment as members of the
Fire Dept. of Clarence E. Footi.tt , Cam. M. Kenney, Chas. W.
Graham, Anthony Lucas , Elmer Il Longstreth, Clyde Lake , Earl
C.< illiams, Clem A. Turner, H. E. Miller, Harry B . Bradfield,
and Clifford D. McCoy be accepted and they be appointed from
August 1st, 1920 , on the Platoon System. Motion prevailed.
The Board instructed the street Commissioner to increase the
pay of certain members of his laboring force.
The Board instructed Mr. Dillon Supt . of the Light Plant to
increase the pay of the meter readers of the Light Plait ten
( 10 ) cents per hour.
The Board instructed Mr. Dillon Supt . o f the Light Plant to
purchase fifty00
( 50 ) cars of Kentucky Mine �-cui� Coal at y,�.e0
per ton P.O.B. Mine for the Municipal Electric Lighting & Pow-
er Plant .
Bills to the amount of 015,800.01 were allowed and ordered paid.
The Board approved the various Payrolls up to June 1st , 1920 .
The Board then adjourned.
