MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley,
J. D'Arcy, J. Graham, J. King, L. Robinson,
and C. Smith.
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p,m. with the pledge to
the flag. Ro11 call was taken. All members of the Board were present.
J. King made a motion to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded
by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Robinson, aye;.Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to appoint Al Longnecker to the $lan Commission
for a 3 year term. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call:
D'Arcy, aye; Graham., aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and
Ansley, aye.. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to appoint Donald Pearson to the Plan Commission
for a 3 year term. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy,
aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley,
aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy mode.a~.~mot,ion ~o appoint Darlene Clemens to the Plan Commission
for a 2 year term. Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy,
aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye.
6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a matron to appoint James Hamilton to the Plan Commiss-
ion for a 2 year term. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call:
D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and
Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. Graham made a motion to schedule Spring Clean-up day, Friday,
May 23 and :Saturday, May 24 and to authorize advertising for bids.
Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye;
King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no
nays. Motion declared carried.
President appointed J. D'Arcy for Chairman of Student Government Day
to be held April 23, 1980.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to accept the report of the Board of Appeals.
Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye;
King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no
nays. Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made motion to table recommendation from the Board of Appeals
till next meeting of April 7, 1980. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by
roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith,
aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
At 8:00 p.m. the following bids were read for 1974 Police car:
Speicher & Gaylord - $161.00 Terry Freeman - $150.00

J. King made a motion to award bid to Spe~.cher & Gaylord of $161.00.

Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to adopt Ordinance.#968; Chapter 8, Article 8,
Variations to Zoning Ordinance #674, granted by action of the Village
of Plainfield Board of Trustees; Sec. 8-4: Variation of Minimum Side
Yard Requirement for Edwin Friedl Property on Miles Avenue. Seconded
by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
J. King made a motion to adopt Ordinance #969; Chapter 2, Article 1,
~ An Ordinance amending Section 1-33 of Ordinance #858. Seconded by
J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to send Joseph Bennett to the Spring Seminar
at Springfield, Illinois April 14, 15, 16, 1980 for $195.00. Seconded
J. King. Vote by roll call; D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays, Motion
declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion that the Village payroll be changed to every
2 weeks beginning April 1, 1980 (payable on Wednesday's) with first
payroll April 9, 1980. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call:
D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith, aye; and
Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion if the cost factor remains the same on new
water & sewer invoices and the programming does not exceed $500.00;
to authorize Lorin Robinson to proceed with the necessary changes
involved. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: D'Arcy, aye;
Graham, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Smith aye; and Ansley, aye.
6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to authorize Lorin Robinson to proceed upon
advice of the Attorney tomorrow or the following day that if it
appears it is legal to past a notice the maps shall be available at
the Village Hall then do so; then if not available;if it isn't practical
then consider making a smaller version and still publish that the
maps are available at the Village Hall. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote
by roll call: D'Arcy, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; ,Robinson, aye;
Smith, aye; and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.

for River Ridge Estates (expiring March 19, 1980) to and including
September 19, 1980. Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll call:

and Ansley, aye. 6 ayes, no nays, Motion declared carx'ied.
