The Board cf Public T;orks of the City of Richmond , Ind is na, met in regular session in the office of the said Beard, Mon- day, cTune 21 , 1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Peitz the following proceedings were had to-wit : - The Board approved and signed the Contract & Bond of Daniel G. Burkhardt , Contractor, under Improvement Resolution -579- 1920 . Bills to the amount of 4?10,792.79 were allowed and ordered raid. The Board approved the vari cus payrolls up to June 16th , 1920. June 24, 1920 . The Board cf l.':li C Works of the City cf Richmond , Indiana, met in regular session i.n the office of the said Board Thurs. June 24, 120 , at 9 A.M. All the members cf the said Board being present Ressrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and reltz the follow- ing proceedi ng o were had to-wit :- The C1_e:'k presented the complaints from Ccuncil of 1":onday , Jule 21st , and the matter in regard to the hedge on the pro- perty of the F.C.C. & st . L. A.R. Co. en idorth-west 2nd St. between the two railroad bridges was referred to the City Atty. to see if .they could legally compel said railroad com- pany to remc':e said hedge. The Clerk was instructed to notify Louck & Hill to remove the mud from the sidewalk infront of their property on iicrth 8th 5t . near 1 305 . The Board of Public Yorks approved the Bond of the A. H. Beaumont Co. of Philadelrhia , Pa. , Contractors for the in- stallation _t of Coal w Ha ndling andling system at the M.L.L. & P.P. The Board received from .Elmer Smith the following bid for a motorcycle for the Police Dept . : Thursday, June 24, 1920. el One 1920 S. Excelsior with Splitdorf. Generator Battery head and tail light and horn, Speedometer and Tandem i47 5.00 One casing & tube 23.15 098.15 The Henderson Motorcycle, electric equipment, speedometer and tandem i5r0.00 Casing & tube 23.15 I/ 4p593.15 Mr. Peitz moved that' the Bid for the Excelsior Motorc cle of 498 .15 be accepted and Elmer Smith awarded the contract. Second- ed by- Mr. Taylor moti on prevailed. The Board met to receive bids for the City Advertising from June 3Oth, 1920 to June 30th, 1921. No bids received. Mr Feltz presented the Milo-wing Milo-wing resolution, and moved its adoption to-wit : - Resolved that the Board of Public Works of i ithmond, lad. deems it essential to the best interest of said City in the opera- tion of its Hunici pa1 Electric Lighting & Power Plant and essential to the prcper maintenance and operation thereof that the rates charged by said City for electric current for light & power be promptly increased to conform to the proposed schedule of rates com piled by Benj . Perk the City' s Accountant, And, Be it resolved further that the action of the Common Council of said City heretofore taken in this behalf be, and it is hereby confirmed, And, Be it further resolved that the City Attorney of said City be , and he is hereby authorized and directed forthwith in the name and on behalf of said City to prepare and present before , the Public Service Commission of Znd una a petition for increase of electric rates as aforesaid.
