Fresident called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m, with the pledge to the flag.
Roll call was taken. Trustee, J. D'Arcy was absent.
J. King; made a motion to approve minutes of December 3 anal December l7, 1979
meetings. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye, and Ansley, aye. 4 ayes, na.nays. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion that President Selfridge sign the Joint Agreement for
Engineering for FADS Projects M-5138 (27) and M-513$ (2$). Seconded by George
Ansley. Vote by roll call: King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; and Ansley, aye.
4 ayes, r~ nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to adopt Ordinance ~~967 - An Ordinance establishing a speed
limit of forty-five (45) miles per hour an Lockport Rd. between the intersection
of Lockport Read and the ~nesterly right-af way line of the E. J. &. E. Railroad
and the intersection of Lockport Rd. and the Westerly right-of-way line of F.A.A.
Route I--55. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: King., aye; Rife, aye;
Rdbinson, aye, and Ansley, aye. 4 ayes, na nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to continue the repair of Well No. 3 with Layne-Western
Company, Inc. at a final cost of approximately $30,000.00. Seconded by J. King.
Vote by roll call: King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; and Ansley, aye. 4 ayes,
zm nays. Notion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a rmtion to contract with Harco Corporation for the 750,000 gallon
elipsaided water storage tank for $565.00. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call:
King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; and Ansley, aye. 4 ayes, no nays. NIotian
declared carried.
D. Rife made a matiian to accept the resignation of Robert Bostanche, Ceta Dispatcher
effective January 7, 1980. Seconded by George Ansley. Vote by roll call: King, aye;
Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; and Ansley, aye. /~ ayes, np nays. Nlotian declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to hire Dwayne Wilkersanas a Ceta Dispatcher at $3.75 per
hour effective January 7, 1980. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: King, aye;
Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; and Ansley, aye. 4 ayes, no nays. Nlatian declared carried.
Mr. Joe Talarico, Will County ES~DA Director, presented the Board a report on
Comrnuzity Leadership School, Class Project, Class 1979 Fall, Disaster Prepardness,
prepared by the Joliet Area Chamber of Comrr~rce Association.
Tam Mefferd, Plainfield ESDA Director, gave a demonstration on the new weather
warning system.
i J. King made a rmtion to hire Robert Bostanche as a full time police officer
+~ at a salary of $13,008.00 per year beginning January 8, 1980. Seconded by D. Rife.

na nays. Motion declared carried.

J. King made a motion to authorize Chief Kuehl to replace the 1975 dammed squad
car with a used vehicle purdhased with monies from the insurance claim. Seconded
by L. Robinson. Vote by call call: King, aye, Rife, aye; Rabinsan, aye; Ansley,
aye. 4 ayes, no nays. Nlatian declared carried.
G. Ansley made a mratian that the Treasurer's salary be adjusted to $2,400.00 per
year effective January 1, 1980. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call:
King, absent; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; Ansley, aye; and Selfridge, aye. 4 ayes,
no nays. Notion declared carried.
