Regular Meeting
DATE: December 17, 1979 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley,
J. King, D. Rife, J. D'Arcy, and
Lorin Robinson were present.
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge
to the flag .
John D:Arcy made a motion to approve current invoices far payment.
Seconded by James King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy,
aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; and Robinson, aye. 5 ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to appoint Edward Geschke as Treasurer
effective January 1, 19$0. Seconded by Lorin Robinson. Vote
by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye,
and Robinson, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Lorin Robinson made a motion to adopt Ord. ~~966, Chapter 6,
Article 3, An Ordinance Amending Section 3-2-1 of Ordinance
No. 901. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Ansley,
aye; D'Arcy, nay; King, aye, Rife, nay; .Robinson, aye; and
President Selfridge, aye. 4 ayes, 2 nays. Motion declared
carried.
Lorin Robinson made a motion to repair and lower Well ~~3
100' with Layne-Western Company, Inc. for approximately
$13,000.00 to $14,000.00 cost. Seconded by D. Rife.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye, D'Arcy, aye, King, aye;
Rife, aye; and Robinson, aye. 5 ayes, no mays. Motion
declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to execute an Ordinance to amend
Ordinance ~~94$ to .establish a speed limit of forty five miles
per hour on Lockport Rd. east of railroad tracks to I-55.
Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; and Robinson, aye. Motion
declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion that the Village Offices be closed
Saturday, December 22, Monday, December 24, Saturday, December
29, and Monday, September 31, 1979. Seconded by J. King.

J. King made a motion to give full time Village Employees a
$20.00 Christmas bonus and all part time Village Employees a
$10.00 Christmas bows:, Seconded by L: Robinson. Vate by
roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye;
and Robinson, aye. 5 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
President Selfridge appointed Ann Hintze as Staff Contact
responsible for the Public Participation program with Plainfield
Facility Planning Project C172552-01.
J. King made a motion to enter into an agreement with Walter E.
Deuchler Associates, Inc. Consulting Engineers far Public
Participation Porgram far Wastewater Systems, Plainfield
Facility Planning Area, P1 92-500, Project No. C172552.
Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
D'Arcy, aye, King aye; Rife, absent; and Robinson, aye.
4 ayes, no nays. Mohan declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to authorize the accounting be dane in
office as set up by the Accountant by personnel of the office
and the Village Treasurer. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vate by
roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, absent;
and Robinson, aye. 4 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
