The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, India. , met in regular session in the offi ce of the said Board Thursday, May 27, 1920 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Peitz the following proceedings were had to-wit : - The Board approved the petition of the Ride mond,0il Co. signed by 1/ H. S. Stillinger for permission to cut the curb for a driveway 10' ft. in width under private contract infront of Lot 29 , Poe and Lynde$ Out Lots on North-west 2nd St . subject to the inspection & approval of the City Engineer. The Board approved and signed the contract for the lease of Lots 5 & 6 Price & Ferguson' s Add. corner 17th & Main Streets from Elizabeth Jones, Agent , for market purposes from June 1, 1920 to Dec. 31, 1920 for the sum of 50.00 as rent thereof. The Board approved and aigned the Contract & Agreement of the Richmond Chautauqua Association to use a portion of Glen Miller Park for holding Chautauqua Assemblies the following years : 1920- 1921 - 1922 - 1923 - 1924. The Board approved and signed the Contract & Agreement between the City of Richmond and Frank E. Crump for the privilege and right to sell refreshments and letting boats to hire in Glen Miller Park for a period of Five ('5) Years from Nov. 1st , 1920 to Nov. 1st, 1925. The communication from Geo. F. Hamilton in regard to the serer drainage at his property #225 South 15th St. was read and- ordered placed on file. The Board received from Morris Knowles, Incorporated Engineers, their report upon the improvement to the Municipal Electric Light & Power Plant which was ordered placed on filet and presented to Council at their next meeting. John Mueller, County Bridge Engineer, appeared before the Board in regard to the approach at the west end of the Main Street Bridge stating that the plans cannot be changed unless approved by the City . The Board decided to look into the matter. ,,The Clerk was instructed to write the City Atty, instructing him to look into the matter of the petition filed with the Wayne Circuit I/ Court for the closing of the alley running east & west between Lots 24 & 52, Elizabeth Starr' s Add. Petitioners Fran: L. Street, and Adolphus W. Mitchell. Hearing set for June 3rd, 1920 , at 10 A.M. The Board then adjourned. Attest : Pres. of the Board. • Clerk. of the Board.
