President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:3 0 p.m. with the pledge
to the flag. Roll call was taken. All m ~nbers of the Board were present.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to approve current invoices for payment as presented.
Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye;
Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye; S. Yates, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
The Treasurer's report was sukmitted.
D. Rife made a motion for the Deputy Village Clerk to notify the E.P.A. that the
sewer and water in Lakeside Manor, Units 1 and 2 were installed without Village
approval. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye;
King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; S. Yates, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
,7, King made a motion to approve Ord. 952 -Case No. 81-71679 A, annexation of
the Vernon E. and L. Kujath property. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call:
Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye.
Six. .ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Motion was made by D. Rife to table the adoption of the new building and
plumbing codes until the first meeting of October (October 1) . Seconded by
J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye;
Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
President Selfridge appointed Allan Mauer, Chas. Smith and George Ansley for the
comittee to establish fees for building-plumbing permits and inspections.
D. Rife made a motion for the Deputy Village Clerk to write" a letter to the
Plainf field Jaycees granting permission of the closing of traff is on Chicago St.
north of the Village Green from 5:30 p.m. till 12:00 midnight from Oct. 26
through Oct. 31, 1979; requesting that a no flashing portable lighted sign be
used. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye;
King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Six ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
At 8:00 p.m. the following bids were read for a 36' by 36' by 12' high - three
sided pole building far storage:
Bryant Pole Buildings - $6,259.00
Morton Building s - $6,050.00
J. King made a motion to accept the bids. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Motion
declared carried.

D. Rife made a motion to accept the low bid from Marton Bldg. far $6,050.00
for the canpletion date of Nov~nber 30, 1979. Seconded by J. King.

Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to purchase the Guide to Tmpl~nenting Effective
Cash Management in Local Government book. Seconded by L. Robinson.

Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion that the Village of Plainf field cease any further
negotiations for the annexation of the pro~aased quarry err Hammon property.
Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye;
King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye; Xates, aye. Six ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion. for the Deputy Village Clerk to send a letter to
the Will County Board as to the Village's position an the E'A T-55 and
Weber Rd. interchange. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: .Ansley,
aye, D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye.
Six ayes, na nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to object to proposed rezoning of a 7.9 acre parcel
of the Spires farm to County C 1. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by atoll
call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye;
Yates, aye.:.. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion for the village Engineer to begin drawings for sewer
and watex for the River Ridge Estates, authorize R. Selfridge to contact
Gene Gordon to start .proceedings. Ralph Bader will contact Fred Santerelli
to reiterate costs. Seconded by J. King. Vote by call call: Ansley, aye;
b'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Six ayes,
no nays. Motion declared carried.
On motion meeting adjourned to axes-~xtive session at 9:15 p.m. to discuss
personnel.
