Ansley, J. D'Arcy, J. King, D. Rif e, L. Robinson and S. Yates were present President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag.. Ro11 call was taken. All members of the Board were present. D. Rife made a motion to enter iota an Annex atian Agreement with River Ridge Estates Subdivision (Rubalo Development Corporation). Seconded by J, D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye;. Yates, aye. -:.Six ales; no~lnays; Mativri .declared carried. D. Rife made a motion to approve the minutes of August 6 and August 20, 1979 meetings as printed. Seconded by L. Robinson. Motion declared carried.. President Selfridge appointed Donald Schmitz as Electrical Inspector to be eff ective immediately, President Selfridge appointed Shirley Yates Deputy Village Clerk. D, Rife made a motion to authorize ado ertising far bids for a salt shelter 36' x. 3.6' x'1'..2'. pole type building with bids to be opened September 17, 1979 at 8:00 p.m, Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by r.o'11 call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson., aye; Yates.;~.;aye..... S~ayes no nays. Motion declared carried. J. D'Arcy made a motion to send L. Robinson and his wife to the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce dinner honoring Caterpillar Tractor Company. Seconded by D. Rif e. Robinson made a motion the Village subscribe to the JOLIET HERALD-NEWS on a yearly basis in the name of the Plan Commission. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. - z -- • PLAINF IELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRU STEES Regular Meeting September 4, 1979 Mr.. George Rowe, President, Lily Cache Homeowners Assn. was present representing his group and asked that they go on record as being opposed to the proposed annexation by the Village because they are opposed to the stone quarry in their area due to the fact that mining operations would have a definite effect on the water table and they would oppose any blasting being done at the quarry. D. Rife made a motion to adjourn to an ~ecutive Session at $:55 p~:~m. to discuss personnel and reconvene thereafter. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Motion declared carried . President Selfridge opened the adjourned meeting at 9:40 p.m, G. Ansley made a motion to hire Barbara Kavanaugh to replace Barbara Higdon at a salary of $4.00 per hour to be effective immediately. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by .roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye, Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. G. Ansley made a motion to hire Ann Hintze as Planner retroactive to August 1, 1979 at $12,500 per year. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. S.
