The Board instructed the Supt. of the M.E.L. , & P.P. to purchase
a 550 gallon gasoline emergency storage tank.
Mr. Peitz moved that all bids received April 22nd, 1920 , for
motor fire truck be rejected. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered.
Bills to the amount of 13,688.19 were allowed and ordered paid.
_ The Board approved the various pay rolls up to May 1st, 1920.

The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session in the office of said Beard Monday, May 10th ,
_ 1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present
Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Peltz , the following proceedings
were had to-wit : - _
The Board received a communication signed by Wilfred Jessup,Atty.
in regard to a clogged sewer in the alley running north & south,
north from South "A" St. between 9th & 10th Streets. Referred to
the City Engineer.
The Board received the following communication:

The Treasury Department has awarded the contract for removing
ashes from the Post Office Building, this city , to your Board, for
the fiscal year 1921, commencing July 1, 1920 and ending 'June 30,
I/ _ 1921, at t12.00 per cubic yard.

The Board received a complete report from the Chautauqua Assembly
for the year 1919 signed by F. F. Riggs, Secty. of the Asso. The
Board instructed the Clerk to hunt up the Chautauqua Asso. contract
and present same at next meeting.
Howard Dill, Supt . of the Richmond City Water Works Company present
ed to the Board a petition filed with the Water ",orks Co. for

water main to be laid in IIarris Street from Maple Street to
1221 Harris Street signed by Chas. N. Towle, Alfred Dunham, &
Lanson Mills. The Board took this matter under advisement.
Mr. Miller, Fire Chief, reported to the Board that Street Cars
are jumping the track at the switch at the corner of 5th E:
Main and tearing up the bricks on North 5th Street. The City
Engineer was instructed to take this matter up with Supt. Gor-
don of the Street Car Co. at once.
The Board then adjourned.

qua Association notifying him that as the association' s contract
has expired, proper officials of the association should appear
before the Board in regard to renewing same.
