Special Meeting
DATE: July 31, 1979
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: R. Selfridge, President; Trustees, G. Ansley,
J. D'Arcy, J. King, L, Robinson, S. Yates
were present. Trustee D. Rife was absent.
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the
pledge to the flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee, D. Rife was absent.
A letter of resignation was read from Village Clerk, Helen Leidig
effective August 17, 1979.
The Public Hearing on the proposed Appropriation Ordinance far the
fiscal year beginning July 1, 1979 and. ending June 3 0, 1980 was
conducted.
S. Yates made a motion to pass Ordinance No, 950, "An Ordinance Making
Appropriations Far' The Village Of Plainfield For The fiscal Year Beginning
July ~., 1979,' Chapter 11, Article 3, Section 3-21 of the Code of Ordinances
of the Village of Plainf ield. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call:
Ansley, aye; D:"Arcy, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. F ive
ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to award the contract for MF'T funds for street
maintenance to Crown-Trygg Corporation, Joliet, Ill., ..low bidder; at a
cost of $21,246.85. Seconded by J.. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley,
aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Five ayes, no
nays. Mat ion declared carrl.ed.
G. Ansley made a motion to adjourn to an Executive Session to discuss
personnel to reconvene shortly thereafter. Seconded by S. Yates. Motion
declared carried.
The adjourned meeting was called tv order by President Selfridge at 7:55 p.m.

Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll ca11: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye;

carried.
