MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Complete Board present
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:3 O.p.m. with the
pledge to the flag. Roll call was taken. A~,l members of the Board
were present..
G. Ansley made a motion to approve current invoices for payment as
Presented. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
D"Arty, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye;' Yates, aye. Six ayes,
na nays. Motion declared carried.
The Treasurer"'s Report was submitted..
L. Robinson made a motion the Village subsidize sending two people from
ESDA tv Emergency Rescue Technician's training at JJC at a total cost of
$84..00. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye;
King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. 'Six ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to hire two students for summer help to work full time
at $3.00 per hour. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Six ayes, no
nays, Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to pass a Resolution to appropriate approx imately
$27, 400.00 in Motor Fuel Tax Funds for street improvements (Bartlett Avenue
frohi Main to Evans, Pratt Lane from Highview to Plaza Dr. and Hazelcrest Dr.
from Marybrook to Park Lane). Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call:
Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye.
Six ayes, no nays.. Motion declared carried.
At 8:00 p.m, the following bid was read for Spring Clean-up:
A-Way Disposal Service $2,300.00
D. Rife made a motion to accept the bid. Seconded by J. D"Arty. Motion
declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to award the bid to A-Way Disposal Service far $2,3 00.00.
Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye;
Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.

J. D"Arty made a moti.an to authorize D. Rife to replace sidewalks in front
of Village Inn and Launderette. Seconded by Shirley Yates. Vote by roll call:

ayes, no nays.. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to authorize the issuance of a check in .the amount of
$1,045.00 for sod for the Village Hall payable to Emerald Green Sod Company..

D. Rife made a motion to authorize the draf ting of an Ordinance to set the
speed lim it at 30 m i. per hr. on Lockport Street East from the railroad tracks
to the overpass at Four Seasons Park. Seconded by J. b"Arcy. Vote by roll call:
Ansley, aye; D"Arty, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; Yates, aye. Six
ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. D"Arcy made a motion to invite Harry Buehl, Arlo Simmons, Ann Hintze, Tom
Mefferd, Joe Bennett, Village Attorney and Village Engineer to the Will-Grundy
Council of Municipalities Dinner May 24, 1979. Seconded b y G. Ansley. Vote by
roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye;
Yates, aye. Six ayes, no nays.. Motion declared carried.
President Selfridge appointed J. D°Arcy, S. Yates, J.Ring to serve with G. Ansley
as committee on wage negotiations, benef its and insurance.
The Plan Commission Annual Report was submitted.
Village Clerk was directed to send a letter in answer to Library's request for
a,share of revenue sharing funds stating none was available at this time but will
be considered next fiscal year.
