Organizational Meeting
DATE: May 7, 1979 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: R. Selfridge, President, Trustees, G. Ansley,
J. D'Arcy, J. King, 77. Rif e, L. Rabinsan were
present. Trustee G. Beahm was absent
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m, with the
pledge to the flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee G. Beahm was absent.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to approve minutes of Apr i1 2, April 23 and April
24 as printed. Seconded by L. Robinson. Motion declared carried.
President Selfridge announced that Mrs. Darlene Clemens, Mrs. Etola Lambert
and Mr. Kenneth Lambert wished to make a donation of $1,500.00 for the
purpose of installing a disaster siren warning system for the V illage.
L. Robinson made a motion to direct the Village Clerk send a letter of
acknowledg anent and thanks.. Seconded by J. King. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to advertise for bids road improvements on Bartlett
Avenu e, Hazelcrest Drive, Pratt Lane, DesPlaines Street Parking Lot and
Illinais Street Parking Lot at an estimated cost of $38,100.00. Seconded by
J. King. Vote by rail call: Ansley, aye; D'Arey, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye;
Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays.. Motian declared carried.
J. King made a motion to authorize send ing Dav id Manley to Northern Illinois
Truck ExRfarcement Officer''s School June 18-22, 1979 at a cast of $120.00.
seconded by G. Ansley.. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; 1~'Arcy, aye; King,
aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. F1VE ayes, no nays. P~Iotian carried.
J., King made a motion to rescind .his motion of April 24, 1979 t~.a pass
Ordinance N0. 944, "'Rezoning of Lots 1 thru 24 of Country Manors Subdivision."
Seconded by L. Robinson. Motion declared carried.
The, .Plan Commission report was sra~imt.~~d (Case Nd. 73-424792, rezoning of
Lots 1-24, Country Manors Subdivision).
J. King made a motion to accept recommendation of Plan Commission to
rezone Lots 1 &2 from B-3 to 8-1; Lots 3 thru 10 and Lots 14 thru 22 ~:~om
B-3 to Res. A-2; Lots 11 thru 13 and Lots 23 & 24 fram B-3 to Res. A-4,
Country Manors Subdivision and pass Ordinance No. 946, "Rezoning of Lots
1-24, Country Manors Subdiv ision. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call:
Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no
nays. Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to pay appointee for Treasurer $100.00 per month.

D. Rife made a motion to authorize Ann Hintze to attend an. American Planning
Association examination, May 17, 1979 and be paid her regular salary that day.
Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by ro11 call: Ansley, aye: D'Ar.~y, aye; King, aye;
Jtif~~, aye; Robinson, aye.. Five ayes, no nays.. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to ga3.ve--River Ridge Estates 90 d~.~^a to •apply for extension on
Preliminary Plat approval. Seconded by J, D'Arcy. Motion declared carried.
Village Clerk administered the Oath of Office to Donald K. Rife, lyorin Robinson.
and Shirley Yates newly elected Trustees.
