MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: R. Selfridge, President, Trustees, G. Ansley,
J. D'Arcy, J. King, D. Rif e, L. Robinson were
present. Trustee, G. Beahm was absent.
President Selfridge called .the meeting to order at 7:3 0 p.m. with the
pledge to the flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee G. Beham was absent
J. D"Arcy made a motion to approve current invoices for payment as
presented. Seconded by J., King.. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy,
aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
The Treasurer's Report was submitted.
G. Ansley made a motion to authorize Layne-Western Company to lower the pump
at Well 464 to 80 feet at an estimated cost of $5,000.00. Seconded by J.
D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye;
Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to schedule Spring Clean up day, Saturday, June 9th
to authorize advertising for bids with bids to be opened May 21, 1979.
Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King,
aye; Rif e, aye; Robinsan, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. D"Arcy made a motion to authorize Trustee Rife to seek bids for truck for
snowplowing. Seconded by J, King. Mohan declared carried.
J. King made a mat ion to hire Jeffery Hanford and Susan Adams as CETA
dispatchers. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy,
aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, absent. Four ayes, na rt.ays. Motion
declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to authorize David Manning to do the landscaping at
the Village Hall site at a cost not to exceed $1,500.00 on a time and material
basis. Secanded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye;
King, aye; Rif e, aye; Rabin son, absent. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried .
J. ,King made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 944, "Rezoning of Lots 1 thru 24
of Country Manors Subdivision," Chapter 8, Article 7, Section 7-51 of the
Codified Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by L. Robinson.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson,
aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.

J. King made a motion to pass Ord finance No. 945, "An Ordinance Authorizing
The ~ecution Of A Boundary Agreement Between The village Of Plainfield And
The Village of Shorewood." Seconded by D. Rif e. Vote by roll call: Ansley,
aye;'. D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. F five ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to approve recommendation of Plan Commission, Case No.
70-21379PP (preliminary plat, Bada Commercial Fark) to approve preliminary
plat with the following conditions: the storm water detention requirements of
the subdiv ision regulations be shown on the plat to accammodate storm water
from the entire developed subdivision .and the right-vf-way west of the west
line of Lot 1 be 66 ft. and no sidewalks be provided on the south side of
street west of the west line of Lot 1. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by
roll call: Ansley, aye.; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye.
Five ayes,. no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to approve Illinois Bell Telephone proposal for phone
system (Com Key 7.18) with installation. charges of $1,499.00 and a monthly
increase of $145.95. Seconded by D., Rif e, Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, pass (nay). Four ayes, one nay.
Mat ion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to authorize signing addendum, to Lease Agreement
with Gary Lichtenwalter. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley,
aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, nay; Robinson, aye.' Four ayes, one nay.
Motion declared carried..
J. King made a motion to authorize signing consent to sublet regarding
Lease Agreement with Gary Lichtenwalter. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vvte by
roll call: Ansley,. aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, nay; Robinson, .aye.
Four ayes, one nay. Motion declared carried.
