Regular Meeting
Apxil 2, 1979 AT: V illage Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Trustees, G. Ansley, J. D'Arcy, J...Klr~g, D. Rif e,
L. Robinson were present. President Selfridge
and Trustee G. Beahm were absent.
In the absence of President Selfridge, Village Clerk Helen Leidig called
the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
J. King made a motion to appoint G. Ansley as President Pro-tem. Seconded by
D. Rife. Motion declared carried.
President pro-tern led the groin in the Pledge to the flag.
D. Rife made a motion to approve minutes of March 5 and March 19 as printed.
Seconded by L. Robinson. Motion declared carried.
The Treasurer"s Report was submitted.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to pump the water out of the storage tanks at the
farmer sewer plant on James Street and fill with gravel. Seconded by J. King.
Vote by roll ca11: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson,
aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to authorize taking bids for replacing sidewalk in
front of Village Inn. Seconded by J. King. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to authorize Village Clerk to send a letter to
Pheasant Chase Builders regarding unpaid snow removal invoices advising if not
paid the Board will take further action. Seconded .by J. .King .. Motion declaimed
carried.
J. King made a motion to hire Brun Rouso.n as part time dispatcher. Seconded
by D. Rif e. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye. F ive ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 9/~3, "Rezoning of.a'.5.8~4 Parcel
of 'Pheasant .Chase II Subdivision on Van Dyke Road,'" Chapter 8, Article 7,
Section 7-50 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded
by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife,
aye; Rabinson, aye. Five ayes, na nays. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to pass a Resolution to indicate the village Board
.supports the Ambulance Referendum for the Fire District. Seconded by J. D'Arcy.

D. Rife made a motian to table action on Case No. 70-21379PP, Bada Commercial
Park prelim inary plat until neat Board meeting. Seconded by J. D'Arcy.
Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to accept recommendation of Zoning Board of Appeals,
Case No. 71-32779V, to..gr.ant oversize sign,. Gerald Taylor.:: Seconded by D. Rif e.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Katha Jeziorski, Illinois Bell Telephone Co. representative, presented proposals
for new phone system throughout Village Hall offices.
On motion meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
