The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, April 8th, 1920 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs Gilbert , Taylor, and Peitz the follow- ing proceedings rere9had to-wit : - . E. E. Fairweather, Traffic: Commissioner, with the Ft . Viayne Traffic Bureau, presented to the Board a Contract to collect over charges on all freight bills. I.:r. Peitz moved that the Board accept the above mentioned contract after being approv- ed by the City Atty. Seconded by Mr. Taylor. The Board met to hear all ':pers ns interested or whose property is affected by the vacation of the 1st alley south of S. `YC'Y St. running from S. 10th St. east to the 1st alley running north and south between South rt0Y; & YsL' St . between Lots 3 & 4 Jonathan Moore' s Add. to the City of Richmond as provided for under Declaratory Resolution #139.1920. No one appearing and no remonstrance having been filed the Board took final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modifica- , t ion, and the Board ordered that a roll be prepared of all corners or holders of property and all valuable interest there- in sought to be taken or to be injurious 1y affected, which list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially affected , and the Board fixed a price- toy be assessed as bene-- fits 3.00 per front foot on South 10th St . The Board unanimously adopted - e_lleroveme nt Resolution i577- 1920 to improve the alley running north and south between S. Or C . "C" �o C.J. � rd & 4th St. from S. "D' SL : by grading & paving with concrete. The Board approved a plat representing four (4) building lots numbered from 1 to 4 inclusive, laid out by Lynn M. Hays in Thursday, 4pri l 0 , 12,20. 425 the north-west quarter sec opt 50, township 13, range 1 west, and being a Tartof Tract 1' 1 ' Official Map of the it`r of ch-- mon d, Indiana. Mr. Peitz moved that the Light , Heat w Power Company be notified to e1_tend gas main from Hunt St. east on Maple according to pe- tition on file in their office. Seconded by Mr. Taylor u lor motion prevailed. The Clerk was instructed to notify George L. Borton of 11C I an-- diolph St. to have the tree stump in front of his property on Lincoln St. removed at once. Mr. filler; Fire Chief, informed the Board that he has appointed Harold Tone;, John Smith , and John Green as firemen on the 'City Fire Force . The Board approved the appointments.
