Regular Meeting

MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: R. Selfridge, President, Tru stew , G. Ansley,.
G. Beahm, J. Ring, D. Rife, L. Robinson were
present. Trustee J. D'Arcy was absent.
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee, J. D'Arcy was absent.
J. King made a motion to approve minutes of February 5 and February 19
meetings as corrected. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a mat ion to grant variance requested by. K. Stelzer
(Case No. 67-1 2 2 67 8V) before Zoning Board of Appeals and authorize
issuance of building permit for garages. Secanded by D. Rife. Vote by
roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rif e, aye; Robinson, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
President Selfridge announced the findings of the Electoral Board re
Objection to Nomination Petition, Charles Pottorff.
D. Rife made a motion to authorize purchase of three folding tables a.t a
cost of $38..60 each. One to be purchased by Civil Defense, one to be
purchased by Police Department and one purchased by Adm inistration.
Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beakuu, aye; King, aye;
Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
A report from the Plan Commission was submitted:
J. King made a motion to concur with recommendation of Plan Commission to
send a letter to Will County Board of Supervisors in support of the new
County Zoning Ord inance that it be retained and endorced with a copy
sent to Village of Park Forest, South supporting their efforts. Seconded by
G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to pass Ord inance No. 941, "An Ordinance Setting Regular
Municipal Election April 17, 1979", Chapter 1, Article 3, Sec. 3 -3 of the
Codified Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by G. Ansley.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to instruct Planning Technician to send information
available on Street inventory to IDOT and explain why we do not have information
required for report. Seconded by G. Ansley'.. '. P~Iotion' declared carried.
