The Board of Public Works of the City of 1Li chmond , Indiana, met
in regular session in. the office of said Board Monday , March 29 ,
.1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present
Messrs.. Gilbert , Taylor, and Pelts the following proceec?i tgs
were had to-wit :

The Clerk presented to the Board the following communication:

Dear Sir:
The matter of the rerair of the t rnporary Main Street Bridge
was considered by the Board of County Commissioners 2t thei- ses-
sion to-day and it is their decision that the County shall not
stand any part of this expense.

Above matter was referred to the City Engineer.
Mr. Pelts moved that the Main Roadway into the Hospital Grounds
be scarified, rolled , and tarvia applied. Seconded by i'.r, Taylor
so ordered,
Mr. Pelts moved that on recommendation of Mr. Schneider, St . Com. ,
Mr. Slick be released from his contract Monday, March 29th at noon,
and that the gathering of ashes & trash be now in charge of the
Street Commissioner. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered.
The Board instructed the Clerk to notify Edward Timberlake of 603
S. 13th St. to remove all trash etc. from the rear of his property
within 5 days from receipt of notice.

The Board instructed the Clerk to notify the Pythian Temple Corn. ,
% Ebon LoucZ, that Fire Chief Miller reports the dangerous condi-
tion of the signs they have on Main St . , and that the Committee is
hereby notified to promptly secure the same fromany danger of fu-
ture falling if not they will be compelled to remevefall of them.
The Board received bids for the plumbing work in the City Bldg. as
follows :
Wm. H. Meerh.off' s bid - 62.25
John H. N;eewarh per' s bid 71.50
John H. Tho2man' s bid 58. 50
Chas. A. Tangeman' s bid 50.00
Mr. Pelts moved that the bid of Chas. A. Tangeman be accepted and
the contract so awarded. Seconded by Mr. Taylor So ordered.
