The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session in the office of said Board Monday, March 15,
1920 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present
Messrs. Gilbert, Taylor , and Peitz , the following proceedings were
had to-wit : -
The bill of John Shallenburg of 055.60 for repairing plastering in
City Hall on motion of Mr. Pelts seconded by Mr. Taylor was allow-
ed and ordered paid.
The Board received a petition for the passage of a resolution pro-
viding for grading and paving the 1st alley south of W. Main St .
from Stir. 1st St. to SW. 2nd St. Referred to the City Engineer for
papers.
The Board received a petition for the passage of a resolution pro-
viding for a cement roadway in the alley between S. 2nd & 3rd Sts.
from S. "A" St. to first alley south. of- Main, thence west to S.
2nd, and east to S. 3rd St. Referred to the City Engineer for
pagers.
The Board granted to Wm. Suttle for gardening purposes Lot #25
Abi ah Mof. i tt s Add, for the season of 1920 aty the rental of $2.50.
The Board received a recommendation from Mr. Miller, Fire Chief,
for an appropriation of $2800.00 for the purchase of an emert.ency
I/ fire truck. Mr. Peitz moved that the Board approve the recommen-
dation and take the matter up later. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so
ordered .
The Clerk presented a communication from Chas. Brossman , Consult-
ing Engineer of Indianapolis , Indiana , in regard to the desi n
extenti oars to the M.R.L. & P.P. Referred to Mr. Dillon, Surt ,
41 6 Monday , . parch 15, 1920 .
The Clerk presented a letter from H. E. Fairweather, Traffic
Commissioner of Ft. Wayne , Indiana, regarding the collection
of City freight bills. Letter ordered placed on file.
The Board then adjourned.

The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, Mar.
18 , 1920 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being
present Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Peitz , the following pro-
- ceedings were had to-wi.t : -
The Clerk presented the . complaints from Coo.=cil of Monday , Mar.
15th which were referred to the City Engineer with the excep-
tion of the complaint of the hedge on SW. "A" St. between 7th
& 8th which the Clerk was instructed to notify owners of said
hedge to have same trimmed.
The Board received the following commt cation:

Under your contract for removing ashes from the U. S. Post
Office Building in this City , fiscal year 1920, ( 16.19) , six -
teen and eighteen hundreth cubic yards were removed previous to
March 1, 1920.

The Board instructed the Clerk to notify the City Controller
to pay Mr. Slick his porti on of the Ash Contract with the U.S.
Post Office , Richmond, Indiana, for the above.
The Board received a petition for the passage of a resolution
providing for the improvement of North "A" St . from N. 3rd to
N. 2nd, and N. 2nd St. from North "A" St. to the C. & C. R.R.
tracks signed by Klehfoth & ITiewoehner Co. , and Swayne, Robin-
son & Co. Referred to the City Engineer for papers.
