HomeMy Public PortalAbout02-23-1920 Office of the Board of Public Works 407 City of Richmond, Indiana , Mon. Feb. 23, 1920. The Board of Public works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Monday , February 23rd, 1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being - present Messrs. Gilbert, Taylor, and Peltz the following proceed- ings were had to-wit : - The Board received a report of the inspect ion of the boiler of the heating plant in the City Bldg. from the Travelers Indemnity - Co. which was ordered placed on file. The Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for 20,000 gallons more or less of Tarvia"B" or its equal . Mr. Pelts moved that the Bldg. Committee of the K. of P. Temple Bldg. be notified through the Street Commissioner to remove build- ing material rubbish from the alley at the rear of their build- ing on South 8th St. by Wednesday, February 25th, 1920. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered. The Bldg. Inspector was instructed to notify Mr. E. M. Campfield to have bricks removed from the gutter so as to relieve the back- - ing up of water in front of the Vord Agency on S. 7th Street. The City Engineer was instructed to make an estimate on the re- pairing of the interior of the City Bldg. and report to the Board. The City Engineer was instructed to make slight changes in plans for Coal Handling Equipment for the M.E.L. & P.P. Fire Chief Miller reported to the Board the resignation of Herbert Harp a City Fireman Feb. 26th. The Board accepted the resignation and instructed Mr. Miller to make an appointment to fill the va- cancy. Bills to the amount of $12,680.56 were allowed and ordered paid.
