The Board of' Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in, the office of said Bca. rd Thursday, Feb. 12th , 1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs: Gilbert, Taylor, and Pel.tz the following pro- ceedings were had to-wit:- -• . The Board received a communication from R. M. Wenger, Supt. of Police requesting that the partition in the Sergt' s Room be changed. The Board decided to take care of this matter- when the building is repaired this Spring. The Board received a communication from Hiram Maine,' patentee of a .snow removing apparatus which was referred, to the Engineer. Mr., Gath Freeman again appeared before the Board in the interest of the Wayne- Light , & Power Co. , Mr. Peitz moved that the Board • give their decision on this question Monday, February 16th. Seconded by Mr. Taylorao ordered. The Board then adjourned. ,ffni/ • " • Pres. of the Board. Feb. 16, 1920 . • The Board of Public Wroks of the city of Richmond , Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Monday, February 16th, 1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. Gilbert, Taylor, and Peitz the following proceedings were had to-wit :- Mr. Peitz moved that the Board is not ready to report on the Wayne Light & Power contract because they want to get in touch with Consulting Engineers as to the merit of this proposition, and ascertain -prices of equipment etc. , and will report as soon as possible. Seconded by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed. The Board instructed the Clerk to present to the Common Council the following communiCation: Monday, February 16, 1920. 405 Feb. 16th, 1920 . To the Mayor, & Common Council : Gentlemen : Your Board of Public Works are informed through a report in -our City papers, that your Committee are intending to recommend, the employing of an expert to examine the condition of the .K. of P. Temple. I/ _ You will remember that the City has already had Three of the best Concrete Experts in the Country to do this and their report and also an answer from the Pythian Temple Building Committee, is now in the hands of our City Clerk, and re ask that these reports be read at your next Council meeting. We protest against any further appropriation for that pur- pose and that this report be recognized. In regard to the rebuilding of the Front of said building we recommend that this be done and passed upon by our Building Inspector and Chief of our Fire Department, as we have full con- fidence in them, and their report , when finally completed. The -Board instructed the City Controller to draw up an ordinance to present. to the Common Council making an additional appropria- tion of $1,000.00 for wire - $643.00 from Sundry Equip. for Ford auto with starter and box body, and 03,500.00 from Repair Account for Centrifugal Pump, all for the M.E.L. & P.P. Mr. Taylor moved that the City Atty. be instructed to promptly notify Mr. F. E. Slick to-day that by reason of his neglect and failure to clean the alleys the City will itself promptly clean the alleys and charge the cost to Mr. Slick and the Sureties on his Ash Contract.
