The Board of Public Works of the City of niichmond, Indiana, met
in regular session in the office of sat d Board Thursday, Feb. 5,
1920, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present
Messrs. Gilbert, Taylor, and Peitz the following proceedings were
had to-wit: - - -
The Board approved the Contract of the Alberger Pump & Condenser
Company to furnish a Centrifugal Four Stage Horizontal BoilerI/
Feed Pump to the M.E.L. & D.P.
The Board received the report from the Richmond Chautauqua Asso-
elation for 1919, which was referred to the City Controller.
The Board received from the Swayne, Robinson & Co. an offer to
fill the City' s order for castings at 7¢ per lb. plus moulding
- time at the rate of $1.25 per hr. the net cost will be perhaps
ten (10) to eleven (11) cents per lb. Mr. Taylor moved to ac-
cept the Swayne, Robinson & Co' s. proposition. Seconded by Mr.
Pelts so ordered.
Mr. Gath Freeman appeared before the Board in the matter of the
Contract of the Wayne Light , & Power Co. The -Board informed Mr.
Freeman that they would take this natter under advisement.
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 138 -
1920 to vacate the alley 1st north of Richmond Ave. , from NW.7th
St. to Sedgwick St. , in rear of Lot' s Noes 12 to 18 inclusive;
also the alley running north & south between NW. 7th St. and
Sedgwick St. in rear of Lots No' s 19 to 26 inclusive, all in A.
V. Gregg' s Sub-Division of the Pleasant Hill Addition, more
specifically described ( See Resolution )
Bills to the amount of l7,368.34 were allowed and ordered paid.
The Board approved Pay Rolls up to and including Jan. 31st, 1920.
The Board then adjourned.
