Roll call was taken. All members of the Board were present. J. King made a motion to approve payment of current invoices as presented except Kale Uniform invoice of which only $519.03 is to be paid. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. The Treasurer's Report was submitted. D. Rife made a motion to place $7,500.00 into the Budget as the Village's share toward the purchase of a building to house Township and Civil Defense vehicles. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. D. Rife made a motion to have Clerk advertise for bids for gravel and A-3 surface for front parking area of Village Hall with bids to be opened May 1, 1978 at 8:00 p.m. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. G. Beahm made a motion to pass a Resolution appropriating $45,000.00 of Motor Fuel Tax Funds for maintenance of Fox River and Commercial Streets. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye'. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. L. Robinson made a motion to accept Plan Commission Report. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to accept K-9 Program as outlined by PPD Police Benevolent Association with authorization to go ahead with program. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, nay; King, aye; Rife, nay; Robinson, nay; Selfridge, aye. Four ayes, three nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to approve payment of $458.05 to Greg Chapman for reimbursement for Police uniform. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Beahm made a motion to approve payment of $1,185.00 to Allan Mauer, Building Inspector, for building .inspection fees. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. King made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 907, "An Ordinance Amending Section 3-2-1 Of Ordinance No. 901,"Chapter 6, Article 3 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield (charges for priv~.lege of water connection). Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vate by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 908, "An Ordinance Amending Chapter 10, Article 8, Section 8-1 of the Codified Ordinances Of The Village of Plainfield"( Police Department Created). Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no mays. Mati.on declared carried. J. D'Arcy made a motion to approve membership to Joliet Region, Chamber of Commerce. at a cast of $100.00 far the year... Secanded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. D. Rife made a motion to employ Lorraine Brett for an additional hour and a half as crossing guard at Dillman and Lockport .Streets, Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. On motion meeting adjourned to an Executive Session at 9:30 p.m. to discuss personnel and to reconvene thereafter. President Selfridge opened the adjourned meeting at 10:15 p.:m. D. Rife made a motion that if at any time the Civil Defense building is vacated this building will become a Township building. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye.. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried, J. D'Arcy made a motion that Village Clerk interview applicants and upon approval hire a part time secretary a maximum of eight hours per week at $3.25 per hazer, Seconded by J. King. Vate by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays, Motion declared carried. On motion meeting adjourned at 10:18 p.m. ELEN B.
