The Board of Pablic •.'orbs of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular sessi on in the office of said Board Monday, December 29th,
1919 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present
Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Pelts , the following proceedings were
had to-wit : -
11 Comes now the Land-Bilks Compan.�y,a corporatior,and files and
presents to the Board of Public '.corks at a regular meeting of said
Board all the members thereof being. present , a tentative draft of
Contract which it desires to make with said City under and pursu-
a t to and in accordance with the Laws of the State of Indiana.
Said Board having seen and examined said proposed contract now
unanimously determine the exact form in which such contract is to
be finally adopted,&• approves the same in such form, and expresses
a willingness and desire to eater into such contract with said cor-
poration as follows : ( See Contract )
And said Board now fixes Thursday, January 15th, 1920, at 9 A.
M. at its office in the City Bldg. as the time a d place that a
Public hearing shall be had to finally consider such contract , at
which time and place any tax payer of said City may appear and file
• protest against any or all of the provisions of . said contract.
And the Board orderes that full and complete text of said con-
tract be published by said .corporation at its own expense one time
at least _ of e week before January 15th , 1920, with the time and
place of such hearing stated therein in the Item , and Palladium,
daily newspapers of general circulation printed in the English Lan-
guage in this City, and that said company shall lie wise post a
copy of such contract and notice in ten ( 10) public places in said
City as provided by an"Act of the General Assembly of the State of
Indiana, approved March 6Lh , 1913, Chapter 108 , pages 286-287-288
of Acts of 1913. .
The Board received a petition from the 'Richmond Piston Ring Co . for
the vacation of alleys in the 1:.W.Gregg.' s Sub-Div. of t1' e Pleasant
Hill Add. Referred to the Enginee1 for papers and plans.
The Board instructed the Clerk to have the Police Dept.. to notify
Richard Study to remove the dirt from in the alley at the rear of
his property at once or the City will remove sane at his expense.
The Board instructed the Clerk to notify Harry Lonts to have the
brush cleaned from the sidewalk at his vacant lots at South 18th
