Regular Meeting
DATE: February 6, 1978 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President Selfridge, Trustees, G. Ansley,
G. Beahm,' J. King, D. Rife, L. Robinson were
present. Trustee J. D'Arcy was absent.
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee J. D'Arcy was absent.
D. Rife made a motion to approve minutes of January 9th and January 16th
meetings as printed. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to approve payment of $b19.47 to James C. Monday
for electrical supplies and labor, Civil Defense Department, New Village
Hall. Seconded by L. .Robinson. Vote by roll calls Ansley, aye; Beahm,
aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to approve payment of $133.75 to John Fitzpatrick far
treating lagoon at sewage treatment plant. 5ecanded by D. Rife. Vote by
roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye.
Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to accept new Police Department Operational Manual.
Seconded by D. Rife. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to pass a Resolutian that the Treasurer's Bond be
set at $50,000.00. Seconded by J. King. Vote by tall call: Ansley, aye;
Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
J. King made a mation to accept Zoning Board of Appeals report. Seconded
by D. Rife. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to accept recommendation of Zoning Board of Appeals
relative to -Case Na. 48-101177V to grant special use, parking lot at
southwest corner Chicago and Illinois Streets and pass a Resolution
authorizing use. Seconded by J. King. Vote by ro].1 call: Ansley, aye;
Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye.. Five ayes, na nays.
Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to award bid for computer to Filbey, Summers,
Abv1t, Good and Kiddoo for a Byte VIII Microprocessor and Programming

no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to approve issuance of check in the amount of
$1,713.00 payable to Sam H. Paul, Clerk of Circuit Court of the Twelfth
Judicial Circuit awaiting result of Ross Patrick vs Grafic Designs vs
the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by rall call:
Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes,
no nays. Motion declared carried.
Mayan Selfridge appointed Arla Simmons Chairman, Zaning Board of Appeals.
D. Rife made a motion to approve Mayor's appointment of Arlo Simmons as
Chairman, Zoning Board of Appeals. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared
carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve payment of first installment, Whispering
Creek Special Assessment No. 1, public benefit in the amount of $7,267.50.
Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye;
King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared _

G. Beahm made a motion to approve payment of first installment, Whispering
Creek Special Assessment No. 2, public benefit in the amount of $].2,197.50.
