Regular Meeting
SATE: January 16, 1978 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Complete Board Present
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. All members of the Board were
present.
J. D'Arcy made a motian to apprave payment of current invoices as
presented. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes,
no nays. Motion declared carried.
The Treasurer's Report was submitted.
L. Robinson made a motion to approve appointment of Thomas Mefferd as
Chairman of 911 Program. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve Village Clerk attending seminar, Harvey,
Illinois January 20 and 21. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vate by roll call:
Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye.
Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Zoning Baard of Appeals .submitted an oral report re: Case No. 50-11078V,
Plainfield Plaza, Route ~~59, sign variance. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting the variance for oversize sign.
L. Robinson made a motion to accept Zoning Board of Appeals recommendation
and permit oversize sign for Ace Hardware. Seconded by J. King. Motion
declared carried.
A letter of resignation from R. Leidig, Chairman, Plan Commission and
Zoning Board of Appeals was read.
J. King made a motion to accept letter of resignation. Seconded by J. D'Arcy.
Mohan declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to send a letter of appreciation to R. Leidig. Seconded
by L. Robinson. Motion declared carried.
At 8:00 p.m. the following bids. were read for a computer:

J. King made a motion to direct Claude Jennings, the Village Clerk and any
Boa~zimembers that would be interested to meet and evaluate the bids before
action is taken. Seconded by D, Rife. Motion declared carried.
On motion meeting adjourned to an Executive Session tv discuss personnel at
8:35 p.m.
