PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
' Regular Meeting
DATE: January 9, 1978 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Complete Board Present
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge
to the Flag. Roll call was taken. All members of the Board were present.
L. Robinson. made a motion to approve minutes of December 5 and December ~~~.me~~ings
as printed. Seconded by G. Ansley. Motion declared carried:.
L. Robinson made a motion to reply to letter from Northeastern Illinois Planning
Commission relative to local wastewater facility plans and needs analysis
studies.. Seconded by G. Ansley. Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to approve Robert Pottorff sewer .tap-on by running line
down past, office alley with alley being restored to A-3 condition. Seconded by
~: D. Rife. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye;
Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion that the new Police Officer to be hired be paid a salary
of $12,000.00 to be adjusted in July to the new budget. Seconded by J. D'Arcy.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to approve paying for Investigative Report Writing School
January 26 thru January 28, 1978 at a total cost of $120.00 for four full time
officers and two .auxiliary officers. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call:
Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye.
Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to pass Resolution No.775A, "A Resolution Objecting
'fo Rezoning Request By Estate Of Minnie B. Fouser, Case No. 2059-V Before The
County Board Of Will County". Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to approve payment of Chobar's Standard final bills
totaling $1,467.04. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no
nays. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to approve payment of $5,470.57 to Crown-Trygg for
resurfacing Desplaines Street per contract. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by

J. D'Arcy made a motion to approve easement agreement with Commonwealth
Edison Company by passing Resolution No. 776 authorizing execution of
agreement for 21-inch sanitary sewer. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll
call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to authorize payment of $983.10 to Walter E.
Deuchler Associates, lnc. for engineering fees, sludge drying beds,
sewage treatment plant. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no
nays. Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to authorize payment of $25,207.60 to Gerhardt F.
Meyne Company for sludge drying bed construction per contract. Seconded by
D. .Rife. Vote by roll call:' Ansley, aye;. Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye;
Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to authorize Albert Easton, Electrical Inspector to
attend electrical. code conference in Joliet January 17 thru 21, 1978. Seconded
by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D!Arcy, aye; King,
aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion tx~ adjourn to an Executive Session to discuss litigation.
Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
