Dec. 15, 1919 . The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana , met in regular session in the office of said Board Monday, Dec. 15, 1919 , at 9 A. I. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. Gilbert, Taylor, and Pelts, the following proceedings were had to-wit :- The Board meets to hear remonstrances if any of persons primarily assessed on account of the vacation of the alley 1st north of Richmond Avenue from the east line of lot 52 to the west line of lot 59 undeii Declaratory Resolution #130-1919 . No one remonstrat- ing the Board approved the Final Assessment roll of benefits & damages confirming in all things the original assessment roll here- tofore approved and thereupon declare said -orti on of said alley above designated- vacated, and now direct that a cosy of said ass- I/ essment roll be forthwi th transmitted to the department of Finance. The Board meets to hear remonstrances if any of persons primarily assessed on account of the vacation of thealley running north and south between north-west 8th street and Sedgwi:ck street , from the 1st alley south of Chestnut Street to the 1st alley north of Rich- mond Ave. under Declaratory Resolution #131-1919. No one remon- strating the Board approved the Final Ass essnt Roll of benefits d damages confirming in all things the original assessment roll heretofore approved , and whereupon declare said portion of said alley above designated vacated, and now direct that a copy of said 390 Monday, December 15 , 1919 . assessment roll be forthwi th transmitted to the department of finance. Gregg' s Sub-Div. of the Pleasant Hill Add. under Declaratory Resolution #132 - 1919. No one remonstrating the Board approved the Final Assess- ment Roll of benefits E damages confirming in all things the original assessment roll heretofore approved, and thereupon de I/ - clare said portion of said allez, above designated vacated, and now direct that a copy of said assessment roll be forthwith trans- mitted to the department of finance. No one remonstrating the Board approved the Final Assessment Roll of Benefits & Damages confirming in all things the original assessment roll heretofore approved and thereupon de- clare said portion of said alley above designated vacated, and now direct that a copy of said assessment roll be forthwith trans- mitted to the department of finance. C. & St . L. R.R. , Indianapolis Div. under Declaratory Resolution No. 134-1919 . No one remonstrating the Board approved the Final Assessment Roll of Benefits and Damages confirming in all things the originnl assessement roll heretofore approved and thereupon declare said portion of said street above designated vacated and now direct that a copy of said assessment roll be forthwith transmitted to the department of Finance. The Board meets to hear remonstrances if an7 of persons primarily assessed on account of the vacation of Worth--vest 8th Street run- ning from the north line of Richmond Avenue to the south line of Chestnut Street under declaratory Resolution 7135-1919 . No one remonstrating the Board approved the Final Assessment Roll of Benefits & Damages confirming in all things the original assess- ment roll heretofore approved and thereupon declare said portion of said street above designated vacated and now direct that a copy of said assessment roll be forthwith transmitted to the de- partment of Finance. No one remonstrating the Board approved the Final Assessment Roll of benefits & damages confirming in all things the original assessment roll heretofore approved and there- upon declare said portion of said street above designated vacated and now direct that a copy of said assessr;e nt roll be forthwith transmitted tc the department of finance. Monday, December 15, 1919 . 391 The Board directed the Finance Dept . to pay the contractor James E. McNamara Construction Co. the 5% reserve retained on the im- provement u 552-1918 of 119.0"r , also the Stanley Plumbing & Elec- tric Co. the 5 , reserve on improvement #556-1918 of $189.60. Mr. Howard Dill of the Richmond City :later Vorks Co. appeared be- fore the Board in regard to a bill presented to his company by the City for the use of the sewer cleaning machine for 104 days at 4. per day amounting to 3416.00. Mr . Dill claimed that the company I/ only used the ma.ch,ine practically 15 days and had had to buy new cables for said machine , and that he thought that 330.00 and the new cables would be a fair price . On motion the Board accented i..r. Dill' s proposition. Mr. Dillon, Surat of the Light Plant, asked for an appropriation of $8 ,000 .00 for the purchase of Coal. The Board instructed the City Controller to prepare an ordinance to present to Council. The Board then adjourned, if f7 JPres . of the Board. The Board of Fubli-c Vorks of the City of Richmond, India, met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, December 18, 1919 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Peltz , the following proceedings were had to-wit: - The Board approved the Primary Assessment Roll of Benefits & Dam- ages in the Matter of- the widening of South "E" St,. on the north side from South 16th St . east to the west line of Lot 52, Reeves- ton Add. under Declaratory Resolution No. 137-1919 , and fired the 5th day of :January, 1920 as the day of hearing against said assess I/ ment. The Board instructed the Clerk to have the Police Dept. notify Richard Study at, 37 South 13th St . to have the dirt removed from the alley at the rear of his property, and film. isienker at 424 S. 15th St. to have the dirt removed from the alley between South 12th & 13th at the rear of his property between South "C" & "D" Streets, also Robert L. Fetta at the Cor of N. 12th & "E" Street to have the trash and ruh''-i sh cleaned out of the alley at the rear of his ?glace of business, within 5 days from receipt of notice.
