The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session in the office of said Board Monday, November
24th , 1919, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being
present Messrs. Gilbert, Taylor, and Peitz, the following pro-
ceedings were had to-wit :-
The Board meets to hear all persons interested or whose property
is affected by the vacation of the alley 1st north of Richmond
Avenue from the east line of Lot #52 to the west line of Lot 59,
Albert W. Gregg's Sub-Div. of the Pleasant Hill Addition under
Declaratory Resolution #130-1919, no one appearing or remonstra-
ting the Board now takes Final Action on said resolution the
same being confirmed without modification, and the Board orders
that a roll be prepared of owners or holders of property and all
valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be injurious-
ly affected, which list or roll shall also describe the property
beneficially affected, and the Board instructed- the Clerk to ass-
ess benefits to the amount of the cost of the proceedings. -
The Board meets to hear all persons interested in or whose pro-
perty is affected by the vacation of the alley running north &
south between NW. 8th St . & Sedgwick Street from the lst alley
south of Chestnut St. to the 1st alley north of Richmond Ave.
Albert W. Gregg' s Sub-Div. of the Pleasant Hill Addition under
Declaratory Resolution #131-1919, no one appearing or remonstra-
ting the Board now takes Final Action on said resolution the same
being confirmed without modification, and the Board orders that a
roll be prepared of owners or holders of property and all valu-
able interests therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously
affected, which list or roll shall also describe the property
beneficially affected, and the Board instructed the Clerk to ass-
ess benefits to the amount of the cost of the proceedings.

south 1st west of NW. 8th St . from Richmond Avenge to Chestnut
St. Albert W. Gregg's Sub-Div. of the Pleasant Hill Add. under
Declaratory Resolution # 132-1919, no one appearing or remonstra-
ting the Board now takes Final Action_ on said resolution the
same being confirmed without modification, and the Board orders
that a roll be prepared of owners or holders of property and all
valuable interests therein sought. to be taken or to be injurious-
ly affected, which list or roll shall also describe the property
beneficially affected, and the Board instructed the Clerk to ass-
ess benefits to the amount of the cost of the proceedings.

& west 1st south of Chestnut St. from NW. 7th St. to west line
of Lots # 63 & 67, Albert W. Gregg' s Sub-Div. of the Pleasant
Hill Add. under Declaratory Resolution #133-1919, no one appear-
ing or remonstrating the Board now takes Final Action on said Re-
solution the same being confirmed without modification, and the '
Board orders that a roll be prepared of owners or holders of prro-
perty and all valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to
be injuriously affected, which list or roll shall also describe

the property beneficially affected, and the Board instructed the
Clerk to assess benefits to the amount of the cost of the pro-
ceedings.
The Board meets to hear all persons interested in or whose pro-
perty is affected by the vacation of a portion of NW. 7th Street
from the north line of Chestnut St. , to the South line of Right
of Way of the P.C.C. & St. D. R. R. , Indianapolis Div. , under
Declaratory Resolution # 134-1919; Albert W. Gregg' s Sub-Div. of
the Pleasant Hill Add. No one appearing or remonstrating the
Board now takes final action on said resolution the same being
confirmed without modification and the Board orderes that a roll
be prepared of owners or holders of property and all valuable
interests therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously affect-
ed which list or roll shall also describe the property benefici-
ally affected, and the Board instructed the Clerk to assess bene-
fits to\the amount of the cost of the -proceedings.
The Board meets to hear all persons interested in or whose pro-
perty is affected by the vacation of NW. 8th St. running from the
north line of Richmond Ave. to the south line of Chestnut Street
under Declaratory Resolution #135-1919, no one appearing or re-
monstrating the Board now takes final action on said resolution
the same being confirmed without modification, and the Board or-
ders that a roll be prepared of owners or holders of property and
all valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be in-
juriously affected which list or roll :shall. also describe the pro
perty beneficially affected, and the Board instructed the Clerk
to assess benefits to the amount of the cost of the proceedings.
The Board meets to hear all persons interested in or whose pro-
perty is affected by the vacation of Chestnut Street from the W.
line of NW. 7th St. to the west line of the alley running N. & S.
1st west of NW. 8th St.. under Declaratory Resolution #136-1919,
no one appearing or remonstrating the Board now takes final ac-
tion on said resolution the same being confirmed without modifica
tion, and the Board orders that a roll be prepared of owners or
holders ofproperty and all valuable interests therein sought to
be taken or to be injuriously affected, which list or roll shall
also describe the property beneficially affected, and the Board
instructed the Clerk to assess benefits to the amount of the cost
of the proceedings. _
Mr. Gilbert moved that under the direction of the City Engineer
sockets be placed on the Right & Deft signs, in order that a red
lantern can be placed on them at night by the Police Dept. Second
ed by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed.
Mr. Pe:tz moved that "Safety Zone" be placed in black letters on
white back-ground on signs at 8th & Main Sts. Seconded by Mr. Tay-
lor motion prevailed.
Mr. Gilbert moved that on account of Thursday being Thanksgiving
Day the Board adjourn until Monday, December,lst, 1919.
