gLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Regular Meeting
DATE: December 5, 1977
AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: R. Selfridge, President, G. Ansley, G. Beahm,
J. King, L. Robinson were present. Trustees
J. D'Arcy and D. Rife were absent.
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. Trustees J. D'Arcy and D. Rife
were absent
G. Ansley :made a motion to approve minutes of the November 7 and November 21
meetings as printed. Seconded by J. King. Motion declax'ed~.carf'ied.
L. Robinson made a motion to donate $100.00 toward the annual Civil Defense
Christmas Party.' Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
Beahm, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
J. King made a motion to authorize Police Department to conduct a feasibility
study, cost analysis and random sample opinion relative to purchase and
training of a K-9 dog. Seconded by G. Ansley. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to authorize Chief of Folice to trade four 38 pistols
far two .357 Magnum weapons. Seconded by L. Robinson. Motion declared
carried.
J. King made a motion to donate $90.00 to the Illinois Police Association.
Seconded by G: Beahm.• Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye;
Robinson, aye.. Four ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
President Selfridge appointed J. D'Arcy Chairman of Dedication Committee,
far arrangements for Village Hall Dedication in the Spring.
G. Beahm made a motion to pass a Resolution Establishing The 911 Emergency
Fhone Number. Seconded by J. King. Motion declared carried.
At 8:00 p.m. the following bids were read for sale of the old tractor:
Robert L. Hintzsche $1,503.00
Route X64, Plainfield
Kirk Lieser $ G02.00
Oswego, Illinois

J. King made a motion to accept the bids. Seconded by G, Beahm. Motion
declared carried.
J. King made a motion to award the bid to the highest bidder, Robert
Hintzsche, Route 4~4, Plainfield far $1,503.00 and pass an Ordinance
authorizing the sale of Village Tractor. Seconded by L. Robinson.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye.; Selfridge, aye.
F~i~ ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to adjourn to an Executive Session to discuss
purchase of property and reconvene in twenty minutes. Seconded by
J. King. Motion declared carried.
President Selfridge opened the adjourned meeting at 8:35 p.m.
L. Robinson made a motion to authorize President to prepare a letter to
the Wi11 County .Zoning Board of Appeals relative to the 1-4 rezoning for
asphalt plant to be located on Frontage Road of Z-55 South of Lockport
Road in Plainfield Township, after evaluating the circumstances, stating
whether we are in agreement or not. Seconded by J. King. Motion declared
carried.
On motion meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
