Regular Meeting
DATE: November 7, 1977 AT: Village Hall
-MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Gomplete Board was present.
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. with the Pledge
to the. Flag. ..Roll call was taken, All .members of the Board were present.
D. Rife made a motion to approve minutes of the October 3rd, 10th and 17th
meetings as printed. Seconded by G. Ansley. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to approve rebuilding of flow meter at No. 3 Well
from cable drive to electric drive at a cost of $5$6.39 including installation.
Seconded by D. Rife, Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy,
aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to have Clerk advertise old tractor for sale with
bids to be opened December 5, 1977. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call:
Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye.
Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried,
D. Rife made a motion to Pay Lenz Oil Service, lnc. 90% of bid for. maintenance
of various streets in the amount of $15,006.38 with remaining 10% to be held
back until State approval is authorized. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll
call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye.; Rife, aye; Robinson,
aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion partial payment of $1,200.00 be paid Golden Larch
Landscape Associates for laying of flagstone and rough grading. Seconded by
J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King,
aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
At $:00 p.m. the fallowing bids were opened and read for gas, oil and
servicing, Village Vehicles:
Allen Hall - Discount of $0.09 per gal off pump price
Troha's Mobil - Regular 60.90 per gal., No lead 62,9 per gal.
Motor Oil -- Mobil 1 $3.40 per qt., Super 10-40
$1.15 per qt, Special 10-30 $1.05 per qt,
Heavy duty $.90 per qt. Automatic Trans. Fluid
$.90 per qt. less $.06 per gal on motor oil
Grease Job $2,75, Wash Job $5.00

J. King made a motion to accept bids. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Motion
declared carried.
No formal action was taken and awarding of bid was tabled until next
Board meeting,
L. Robinson made a motion to award tractor bid to Gast International per
Alternate Sid ~~2 at a cost of $12,500.00. Seconded by D. Rife, Vote by
roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to rescind motion relative to tap-on fees for
D. Milliron, Eastern Avenue from$8.05 per front footage yr $772.80 plus
$350.00 tap-on for sewer extension to $4.03 per front footage or $386.88
plus $350.00 tap-~an for sewer .extension. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by
roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
The Motor Fuel Tax Audit was presented for review.
D. .Rife made a;m~ntian to pass Resolution to authorize Clerk as Agent to
vote for Executive Trustee, Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund. Seconded
by J. D'Arcy. Mohan declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 900, "An Ordinance Amemding
The Plumbing Code Of The Village of Plainfield And Requiring That Water
Service From The Public Water Supply Buffalo Box To The Water Meter Shall
Be Type "K" Or Equal Copper Tubing Or Pipe," Chapter 7, Article 5, Section
5-1 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by
.7. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King,
aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Village President Selfridge appointed Harry Buehl as Chief of Police.
G. Ansley .made a motion to approve the appointment of Harry Buehl as Chief
of Police. ,Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahrn,
aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
