Regular Meeting
DATE:' October 17, 1977 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: R. Selfridge, President, G. Ansley, G. Beahm,
J. Kang, D. Rife, L. Robinson were present.
Trustee, J. D'Arcy was absent.
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. Roll call
was taken. Trustee J. D'Arcy was absent.
G. Ansley made a motion to proclaim Monday evening "Carol Cain Night" in
honor of JOLIET HERALD NEWS correspondent,who is leaving the area. Seconded
by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve current invoices as presented. Seconded
by D. Rife. Vote by tall call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
At 8:00 p.m. the fallowing bids were opened and read for a tractor far the
Water & Sewer Department:

L. Robinson made a motion to accept the bids. Seconded by G. Ansley. Motion

Action on awarding the bid was tabled until the next Board meeting..
D. Rafe made a motion to pay Grafic Designs, Contractor for Village Hall,
$9,460.00 of final payout. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley,
aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rafe, aye; Robinson; aye, Five ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to authorize purchase of four new tires for the Ford
Squad Car. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye;
King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.

President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the
Pledge to The Flag. Roll call was taken. Trustee J. D'Arcy was
absent.
J. King made a motion to autlzori.ze~issu,ance of Vouches No. 4, Whispering
Creek Special Assessment No. 1, payable to Walter E. Deuchler Associates,
'Inc. in the amount of $365.35. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call:
Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye, Robinson, aye.' Five ayes,
no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to ar~ttfart:ze issuance of Voucher No. 6, Whispering
Creek Special Assessment No. 2, payable to Walter E. Deuchler Associates,
Inc: in the amount of $1,219.42. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call:

no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to accept Engineer's 'f,Tc~r1c Certification, Bala
Construction Company, West Side Special Assessment Water Main, Whispering
Creek Special Assessment Na. 1. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared
carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to approve final 1aayment of $9,480.46 to Bada
Construction Company, Special Assessment No. 1. Seconded by G. Beahm.

aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to accept Engineer's Work Certification, Bada
Construction Company, West Side Special Assessment Sanitary Sewer, Whispering
Creek Special Assessment No. 2. Seconded by G. Ansley. Motion declared
carried.
J. King made a motion to approve final payment of $34,650.59 to Bada
Construction Company, Special Assessment No. 2. Seconded by L. Robinson.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson,
aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.

Action on puxchase of police uniforms was tabled until next Baard meeting.
A report from the Zoning Board of Appeals was submitted. G. Beahm made a
motion to accept the report. Seconded by J. King. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to table a final decision an Zoning Baard of Appeals
action regaxding Pottorff variance, Dillman Street. Seconded by J. King.

D. Rife made a motion to pass Resolution Nv. 775, "A Resolution Pursuant To -~
Chapter 7, Article 11, Et Seq (Ordinance No. 778 as Amended by Ordinance
No. $90) In Regard To 5wanner Acres Subdivision. Seconded by J. King.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson,
aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carxied.
D. Rife made a motion to pass Ordinance Nv. 899, "An Ordinance To Amend Chapter
9, Article 4, Section 4-1-3 (a); Stop Signs Sha11 Be Installed On Chicago
Street At Its Intersection With Illinois And Desplaines Streets." Seconded
by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife,
aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes, na nays. Mvtian declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to charge Donald Milliron $8.05 per front footage
(96 feet) ar $772.$0 plus $350.00 tap-an for sewer extension, Eastern Avenue.
Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll. call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye;
Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to have Clerk advertise for bids far gas, oil and
sexvicing.. for village vehicles with bids table opened November 7, 1977 at
8:00 p.m. Seconded by A. Rife. Motion declared carried.
