~'LAINFIELD VILLAGE EOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
Special Meeting
DATE: October 10, 1977 AT: Village Hall
NjEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Trustees, G. Ansley, G. Beahm, J. King,
D. Rife and L. Robinson were present.
President Selfridge and Trustee J. D'Arcy
were absent. (President Selfridge arrived later)
Village Clerk opened the meeting at 7:5$ p.m. Roll call was taken.
President Selfridge and Trustee J. D'Arcy were absent.
G. Beahm made a motion to appoint G. Ansley as President Pro-tem.
Seconded by D. Rife. Motion declared carried.
President Pro-tem G. Ansley presided.
The following bids were opened and read at 8:00 p.m far two sludge
drying beds, sewage treatment plant:
Tri-County Excavating & Wrecking, Inc. Cashier"s check $3,955.00
Joliet, Illinois Bid - $39,550.00 (60 days)
Gerhardt F. Meyne Co. Certified check $3,400.00
Chicago., Illinois Bid - $33,700.00 (60 days)
D. Rife made a motion to approve both bids. Seconded by J. King. Motion
declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to grant Gerhardt F. Meyne Company the bid for two
sludge drying beds at $33,700.00. Seconded by.J. King. Vote by roll call:
Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no
nays. Madan declared carried.
Village Engineer recommended Clerk retain both bid .checks until the contract
is signed.
D. Rife made a motion to authorize Village Engineer to review final plans
relative to Bada Commercial Park. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared
carried.
On motion meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
