The Board of Public '_ orks of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in
regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, November 6 ,
1919 , at 9 A.L_. All the markers of the said Board be in present
_Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Peitz , the following proceedings were
had to-wit :
1/ The Board received communications from the Richmond Lumber Co . ,
Richmond Furniture Mfg. Co. , The K D Cabinet Co. , and The Miller
Kemper Co. requesting that North-west 2nd Street , Center Street ,
and North-west 5th Street be repaired . Referred to the City En
_ Pursuant to postponement to this date the Board meets to hear re-
_ if any and. take Final Action on Declaratory Reap lnt:i on

South "I" Street. Upon the request of Mr. Davis, City Engineer,
the Board postponed the hearing until Thursday, December 4th , 1919 .
The Board received a communication from the City Planning Commission
recommending that the property at the west end of the Main Street
Bridge be acquired for approches to the bridge. After the various
committees of different organizations present had thoroughly dis-
cussed the matter Mr. Peitz moved that the Board receive and accept
the request of the City Planning Commission, and that the City Eng.
be instructed to get the necessary price , etc . toward acquiring the
property at the west end of the Main Street new bridge . Seconded
by Mr. Taylor motion prevailed.
Mr. Miller, Fire Chief presented the application of :John W. Toney
to be a member of the -Fire Dent . and recommended his appointment.
The Board approved the appointment .
Bills to the amount of 0 ,170.13 were allowed and ordered paid.
The Board approved various Payrolls up to Saturday , Nov. 1st , 1919 .
The Board then adjourned.
