President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge to the Flag. Rall call was taken. All members of the Board were present. D. Rife made a motion to pass a Resolution to permit vide~taping~of tonight's Board meeting. Seconded by J. D"Arcy. Motion declard carried. D. Rife made a motion to approve minutes of September 12th, 19th and 26th, 1977 as printed. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried. G. Ansley made a motion to approve payment of current invoices as presented. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six. ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.. G. Ansley made a motion to have current invoices ..presented for payment on second regular meeting of the month instead of the first meeting. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried. D. Rife made a motion to install two way stop signs at Chicago and Illinois Streets and Chicago and Desplaines Streets with stops for Chicago Street traffic and Illinois and Desplaines Streets be designated as through traffic. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D"Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to rehire Ms. Eleanor Dean as a crossing guard, four hours a day at $2.85 per hour effective October 10, 1977. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye, King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. G. Ansley made a motion to compensate Sgt. Lantz difference in salaries while employed as Acting Police Chief effective an appointment as of August 1, 1977. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'A:rcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. D. Rife made a motion to accept Plan Commission Report. Seconded by J. King. Motion declared carried. 2 PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OE TRUSTEES MEETING Regular Meeting October 3, 1977 D. Rife made a motion to accept recommendation of Plan Commission to approve final Plat, Swanner Acres. Seconded by G. Beahm.. Motion declared carried. G, Ansley made a motion to correct Joseph Bennett's wages retroactive to July 1, 1977 from $641.00 to $659.00 twice a month. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye, King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson., aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. G. Ansley made a motion to turn information an black and lot grading over to Plan Commission and to have copies of information sent. Seconded by J. King. Motion .declared carried. J. D'Arcy made a motion to approve Permit No. 157-77, James Hlavri at Naperville Raad and Michigan Street. Seconded by D. Rife. Motion declared carried. Plainfield Women's Civic Organization requested p.erzuiaslQxl,,to :use..~the__ , Village Hall for storage space and distribution center 'for Christmas candles December 1Q and 17, 1977. D. Rife made a motion to permit Plainfield Women"s Civic Organization use of Village Hall for .storage and distribution center for Christmas candles December 10 and 17, 1977 subject to release of waiver liability. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Motion declared carried. On motion meeting adjourned to Executive Session to discuss personnel at 9:20 p.m. Meeting reconvened at 9:35 p.m. J. King made a .motion to hire Delores McClintock on CETA Program for one year as a dispatcher. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Rabinsan, aye.. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. J. King made a motion to hire Wayne Sokoloski as Auxiliary Policeman. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D"Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Rabinsan, aye.
