PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
.Special Meeting
DATE: September 26, 1977 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRE5ENT: President Selfridge, Trustees, G. Ansley,
J. King, D. Rife, L. Robinson. were present.
Trustees, G. Beahm and J. D'Arcy were absent
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the
Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken. Trustees J. D'Arcy, G. Beahm
and L. Robinson were absent. L. Robinson arrived later in the meeting.
D. Rife made a motion to grant the request of the Plainfield Lions Club
to reschedule Candy Aays from October 7 and 8 to October 14 and 15.
Seconded by J. King. Motion declared carried.
A letter of resignation was read .from Bonnie Atkins,..Disp'atcher.
D. Rife made a motion to send a letter of appreciation to Ms. Atkins. Seconded
by G. Ansley. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to accept the letter of resignation. Seconded by
D. Rife. Motion declared carried.
A letter of resignation was read from Debra Lantz, Crossing Guard.
J. King made a motion to accept the .letter of resignation. Seconded by
D. Rife. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to have Ward Electric Company perform work on Mercury
Vapor Lights at a cost of $1,350.00. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll
call: Ansley, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye. Three ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
A letter of resignation was read from Patricia McKanna, Secretary in Clerk's
Office.
G. Ansley made a motion to accept letter of resignation. Seconded by
J. King. Motion declared carried.
At $:00 p.m. the following bids were opened and read for two sludge drying
beds, sewage treatment plant:

A. Bife made a motion to reject both bids and re-bid the project. Seconded
by J. King. Vate by roll call: Ansley, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye. Three
ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
L. Robinson made a motion to set bid opening date on October 10, 1977 at
$:00 p.m. at the Village Hall and return bid bond and certified check
to bidders. Seconded by D. Rife. Motion declared carried.
Considerable discussion followed concerning amendments to Subdivision
Ordinance. Village Attorney is to prepare proper documents for presentation
at next Board meeting.
