Regular Meeting
DATE: September 12, 1977 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: All members of Board were present.
President Selfridge called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the .Pledge
to the Flag.. Roll call was taken. All. members of the Board were present.
D. Rife made a motion to approve minutes of the August 1st, 1Sth, 22nd and
29th meetings as printed. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to approve payment of current invoices as presented.
Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy,
aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
President Selfridge announced a special .meeting will be held Monday, September
26 to open bids for sludge drying .beds, sewage treatment plant, sewer
facilities pertinent to fast food restaurant proposed at Michigan and
Naperville Road and other village business.
D. Rife made a motion to accept Plan Commission, Report. Seconded by
J. D'Arcy. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to accept recommendation of Plan Commission and
approve Preliminary Plat, Plainfield North, dated. August 9, 1977 subject to
changes in annexation agreement and obtaining right-of-way easements for
Village water & sewer. Seconded by J. D"Arcy. Motion declared carried.
G. Seahm made a motion to authorize publishing for bids for new tractor
for water and Sewer Department with specs to be obtained from Village Clerk.
Seconded by. J. King. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley...-made a motion to make final payout to Hugh Rose, Contractor for
new Village Hall on approval of Village Attorney. Seconded by J. D'Arcy.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife,
aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion to authorize President to sign CETA grant far
three police dispatchers for a one year period beginning October 1, 1977.
Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by ro11 call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy,
aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to award bid to Gerald Dauwalder at $i,2~9.70
for installing bathrnnm in. Civil Defense Department. Seconded by G, Ansley.

D. Rife made a motz~zn°.. to install switch in Civil Defense Department to
transfer electric power from Commonwealth Edisan to a power generator in
case of emergency at a cost of $175.00 Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by
roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
Qn motion meeting adjourned to an .Executive Session to discuss personnel
at 9:10 p.m.
