The Board of Public Corks of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session in the office of said Board Monday, October •
20th, 1919 , at 9 A.M. All the m .'tiers of the said Board being
present Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Feltz , the following pro-
ceedings were had to-wit : -
The Board approved the Primary Assessment Roll in the matter of
constructing a sewer in the 1st alley running east and west ,
north of. South "I;" St . between S. 6th & 7th Streets under Decla-
ratory Resolution No.571-1919 . I/
The Board received and approved the dedication to the City of
Richmond, Indiana, for park purposes a part of Lots 12 & 13,
Anna Madden' s Sub-Div. of Blanchard et ,al,Add. (See Street &
Alley Record 4, page 7/ .
Pursuant to postponement to this date the Board meets to hear,
and consider remonstrances of rersons Primarily Assessed in the
matter of benefits & damages for the opening, widening, & ex-
tending of Randolph St. from west 1st St. to Richmond Avenue , un-
der Declaratory Resolution #126-1919 . After hearing all persons
who appeared , and carefully considering the remonstrance filed
by Howard & Lillie Longfellow against the amount of damages a-
- warded Lot No. 14, Anna Madden' s Sub-Div to the City of Richmond
Indiana the Board modified the Original Assessment Roll in the
matter of the amount of 1,150.00 damages awarded Lot 14, Anna Mad-
den' s Sub-Div. increasing sane to 100.00 damages, the City agree
ing to pay the extra 50.00 awarded said lot, and now the Board
approves the Final Assessment Roll of Benefits & Damages as modi-
fied and order said Assessment Roll transmitted forthwith to the
Dept . of Finance, and declare said street open.
The Board meets to hear remonstrances and take final action on
Declaratory Resolution #129-1919 to open, and extend South 5th
St. from South "H" to South "I" . No remonstrance having been fil-
ed against said proposed opening, but upon hearing Mr. Fulle who
protested against the territory to be assessed the Board on mo-
tion postponed Final Action on said Resolution until Thursday,
October 23, 1919 , at 9 A.M.
The Board received from Adam H. Bartel communications from various
Cities in the State of Ind iai a, in the matter of installed sprink-
ling systems for Fire protection, these communications were order-
ed placed on file.
Bills to the amount of 0_2,855.31 were allowed and ordered paid.
The Board approved the various payrolls up to October 18th, 1919 .
The Board then adjourned.
