Regular Meeting

MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: All members of Board were present.
President Selfridge called meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge
to the Flag. Roll call was taken. All members of the Board were present.
D. Rife made a motion to approve Engineer's final payment estimate of
$5,470.57 to Crown-Trygg Corporation and request for approval of change
in plans of net addition of $163.18 for Desplaines Street improvement.
Seconded by G. Ansley.. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye;
D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays.
Motion declared carried..
J. King made a motion to hire Nancy Douglass as full time dispatcher at $3.00 per hr.
under CETA program. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye;
Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye; Six ayes,
no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to hire Ms. Laverne Fuqua as part time dispatcher to
replace Monica Ice at $3.00 per hour. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by
roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; .King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to send Dave Manley to Illinois Juvenile School in
Springfield, November 14 thru 1$ at a cost of $82.60 plus mileage. Seconded
by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D"Arcy, aye;
King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, aye. Six ayes, no nays.' Motion declared
carried.
L, Robinson made a motion to show invoices for pay~ent to Trustee Committee
Chairman and Department head for initialing prior to being presented to
Board for approval. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
The Treasurer's Report was submitted.
D. Rife made a motion to pass Ordinance No. 89$, "Electrical Code For The
Village of Plainfield," Chapter 7, Article 5, Section 5-2 of the Code of
Ordinances of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by J. King. Vote by
ro11 call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinsan, aye. Six ayes, no nays.. Motion declared carried.
G. Ansley made a motion tv grant the request of the Lions Club for Candy
Days October 7 and 8 and no other organizations be allowed to solicit those
days. Seconded by J. King. Motion declared carried.
