Re-scheduled Meeting
DATE: July 11, 1977 AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: Trustees G. Beahm, J. D'Arcy, J. King, D. Rife, L. Robinson
" were present. Trustee G. Ansley was absent.
President R. Selfridge was absent until 8:30 p.m-
Roll call was taken. President Selfridge and Trustee, G. Ansley were absent.
L. Robinson made a motion to appoint J. King President Pro-tem. Seconded by
J. D'Arcy. Motion declared carried.
President Pro-tem J. King opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to approve minutes of the Junes 6, 20th and 27th
meetings as printed. Seconded by D. Rife. Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to approve payment of current invoices for payment
with the exception. of final payout to Grafic Designs, Inc. Seconded by
G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
The following bid was opened and read at 8:00 p.m, for Watermain Extension
and Penn Road Extension ~ Country Manars Subdivision
Bada Construction Company

A letter from T & R Construction Company was read stating their original low
bid of $30,931,75 still stood.
D. Rife made a motion to accept the bid of Bada Construction Company for
watermain extension and Penn Road exfension with letter of credit or bond
in the amount of the bid to be put up by Robert Pottorff. Seconded by
J. D'Arcy. Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; D"Arcy, aye; King, ayes Rife, aye;
Robinson, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carriedR
G. Beahm made a motion to pass Ordinance No, $95, °"An Ordinance Making
Appropriations for the Village of Plainfield for the Fiscal Year Beginning
July 1, 1977", Chapter 11 Article III, Section 319 of the Code of Ordinances
of the Village of Plainfield. Seconded by D. Rife. Vote by roll call..-

L. Robinson made a motion to authorize $19.$5 monthly billing from Illixiois
Bell Telephone Company far Civil Defense offices in pillage Hall including
removal of one instrument from Police Department and one instrument from
administration office and install four instruments in downstairs gffices of
Civil Defense.' Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll ca11C Beahm, ayes D°Arcy,

D. Rife made a motion to install fournway stop signs at the intersection
of Ottawa and rllinois Streets.. Seconded by G. Beahm, Vote by roll call:

no nays. Motion declared carried,
D. Rife made a motion to accept Plan Commission Report submitted May 16, 1977,
Seconded by J, D'Arcy, Motion declared carried.
G. Beahm made a motion to accept recommendation of Plan Commission to accept
Swanner Preliminary Plat. Seconded by D, Rife. Motion declared carried.
Annual Report of Plan Commission was submitted by Plan Commission Chairman
Leidig.
D. Rife made a motion to adjourn to an Executive Session to discus personnel.

Meeting reconvened at 9:55 p.m.
A letter of resignation was submitted by Rosemary Rolando, Police Dispatcher.
D. Rife made a motion to accept the resignation of Rosemary Rolando, Police
Dispatcher. Seconded by G, Beahm. Vote by roll call: .Beahm, aye; D'Arcy,
aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson, nay. Four ayes, one nay. Motion declared
carried.
D. Rife made a motion to authorize Attorney to draft a recapture Ordinance
far extension of sewer line on East side of zndian Boundary Line Road with
option to add to Special Assessment to cover cost. Seconded by J. D'Arcy.
Vote by roll call: Beahm, aye; D'Arcy, aye; King, aye; Rife, aye; Robinson,
aye. Five ayes, na nays. Motion declared carried,
J. D'Arcy made a motion that a letter of credit in the amount of $5,000.00
be submitted for Pheasant Chase Subdivision inspection services according
to letter submitted by W. E. Deuchler Assoc., Inc.. outlining duties and
responsibilities. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried.
J. D'Arcy made a motion to authorize W. E. Deuchler Assoc., Tnc. to proceed
with survey of sewer and water mains providing service to Graver property.
Seconded by D. Rife. Motion declared carried.
D. Rife made a motion to authorize W. E. Deuchler Assoc., Inc, to work out
Sewer Useage Ordinance which will include connection fees and industrial
waste charges for sanitary sewer. Seconded by J. D'Arcy. Motion declared
carried.

for two sludge drying beds. Seconded by D. Rife, Motion declared carried.
