HomeMy Public PortalAbout05.02.77 VB Minutesi PLAINI'IELD VILLAGE BOARD AF TRUSTEES MEETING Regular Meeting May 2, 1977 AT: Village Hall MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: All members of Board were present President Pottorff called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge to the Flag, Rall call was taken, All members of the Board were present. Minutes of the April 4, April 18, and Apri1.21 meetings were approved as printed and corrected on motion by G~ Beahm., Seconded by G. ArisTey. Motion declared carried, J. King made a motion to approve current invoices for payment except Chobar Standard until corrected.' Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. It was announced Railvc Company will provide granite boulders for the flag site on the Village Hall grounds, ~' L. Robinson. made a motion to pass Resolution No. 778, +~ Resoluti-an Pursuant to Chapter 7, Article 11, Section 11-1 In Regard to Pheasant Chase of Plainfield Unit No. 1 (.School Contribution). Seconded by J. King. Vote by toll call; Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays.. Motion declared carried. The Final Plat of Pheasant Chase, Unit 1 was submitted. The Plan Commission report was submitted. L... Robinson made a motion to accept Plan Commission report. Seconded by G. Beahm. Motion declared carried. L. Robinson made a motion to approve Final Plat., Pheasant Chase, Unit I. Seconded by G. Beahm. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, na nays. Motion declared carried. G. Ansley made a motion to pass -Resolution allocating $7,500.00 in Motor Fuel Tax funds far street improvements. (Desplaines Street, Chicago Co Commercial Street) Seconded by G. Beahm. Selfridge made a motion to accept the bid of and enter into a contract with A. J. Lowe & San for an air blower/compressor for sewage treatment plant for $17,717.00. Seconded by G. Ansley. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Beahm, aye; King, aye; Robinson, aye; Selfridge, aye. Five ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried. R. Selfridge made a motion to accept report of Audit. Seconded by J. King. Motion declared carried. Village Clerk administered the Oath. of Office to Richard J. Selfridge, newly elected Village President. Village Clerk administered the Oath of Office to newly elected Village Trustees, George Ansley, James King, John D"Arcy and Donald Rife. Village President administered the Oath of Office to Helen B. Leidig, elected Village Clerk. Members of the Board were seated. G. Beahm made a motion meeting adjourn to reconvene with seating of new Village President and newly elected Trustees. Seconded by L. Robinson. Village President, Richard Selfridge opened the ad,fourned meeting at 5:20 p.m. RaII call was taken. All members of the Board were present. President Selfridge appointed the following committees: Lorin Rabinson - Cuter & Sewer; Civil Defense, Ex-officio Member, Elan Commission Ronald Rife ~ Streets, Sidewalks, Building & Grounds,, Health Officer James King ~ Police, Ordinances & Licenses Guy Beahm -- Purchasing - Equipment & Inventory John D'Arcy - Public Relations, Industrial Promotion George Ansley Finance, Administration and Personnel Treasurer - Claude Jennings - 3 ~~. _., ~.' ~y 2, 1977 VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING Inc. ~ Engineer Walter E.
