Mr. Peitz moved that the request of Mrs . Middleton for the chang- ing of an alley be not granted as the Board deems it a detriment to the V . 7th St , City Park. The Clerk was instructed to notify Hobert Study to have the court in the rear of the little Block cleaned and put in a sanitary con- dition. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Peitz , the following proceedings - were had to-wit : - The Board approved the Primary Assessment hall in the matter of Improvement Resolution No. 562-1919 providing for the construction of a cement road ey in the alley between South 13th & 14th Streets from the 1st alley south of Main-running east and west to South „A" Street . The Board received a letter from Arthur P. The Board of Public :' orks of the City of kichmond, Indiana met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, August 14, . 1919 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. Gilbert, Taylor, and Pet tz , the following proceedings were had to-wit :- - The minutes of the previous meeti.na' were read and approved. The Board meets to hear all persons interested in or whose property is affected by the construction of a cement roadway in the alley between i . 12th & 13th Sts. from N. T'C" to N. "B" under Improvement ;-e solution No. 570-1919 . No one appearing or remonstrating the Board decided that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Engineer, and thereupon take final action on said Resolu- tion the sane being confirmed without modification, and the Clerk instructed to advertise for bids. The City Engineer reported the completion of the contract under Improvement Resolution No. 562-1919. Mr. Pelts moved that it be accepted, and the Clerk ordered to prepare the assessment ra1. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered. II The Board received a complaint from Mrs. Elden Brown that the Rettig Ice Co.in blowing out their boiler flues at night blow soot all over the neighborhood. The Clerk was instructed to write Mr. Rettig asking him if there was not some way that he could eliminate this trouble. The Clerk was instructed to notify Mr. M. C . Henley to have the weeds cut on his lots on the north-east corner of N. 15th & 7I ° Sts. The Clerk was instructed to have Chas. T:..ngemen to repair :tl ' oilet in the house at the Starr Park. - 4
