Monday, July 28 , 1919.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Ribhmond, Indiana , met in
regular session in the office of said Board Monday, July 28, 1919,
at 9 A.M. All members;of said Board being present Messrs. Gilbert,
Taylor, and Peitz , the following proceedings were had to-wit
1/ The -Clerk was instructed to notify the Building InT ector to be pre-
sent at the Board meeting Thursday, July 31st, 1919 .
The Board instructed the Engineer to put a light coat of sand over
tarvia when put on the streets.
Mr. Miller , Fire Chief, informed the Board that it is now necessary
for every employer of labor excepting agricultural of domestic lab-
or, to secure a certificate of registration from the Industrial
Board on or before Sept. 1st of each year, as set out in the Compen-
sation law as passed by the last legislature. Referred to the City
Attorney.
The Board instructed the Engineer to scarify and roll South llth St.
from "E" to "F".
Mr Peitz moved that the matter of closing up North 23rd Street,
from "D" to "F" be posponed indefinitely. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so
ordered.
The Board then adjourned.
