HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-24-1919 Monday, July 21, 1919. 337 The Clerk was instructed to notify Omar Hollingsworth to make some provision to keep the mud .off the sidewalk and also to have the weeds cut at his lot on the south-east corner of North 15th and "C" Street.The Clerk was also instructed to notify Agnes M. King of 24 North West 5th Street to have the weeds cut on her lot on Pearl Street near 7th. I/ The Board meets to hear all persons interested in or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 568-1919 providing for the improvement on both sides of South 9th St. from South "H" St. to South "I" St. by constructing cement sidewalk 6 ft. wide. No one appearing and no remonstrance having been filed the Board de- cided that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Engineer and thereupon take final action on said. Resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. Bills to the amount of *27,946.26 were allowed and ordered paid The Board approved various payrolls up to July 16th, 1912 . The Board of Public Yiorks of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in regular session at the office of the said Board Thursday, July 24th 1919 , at 9 A.M. All members of the said Board being present Messrs. Gilbert , Taylor, and Peltz, the following proceedings were had to- ll wit . The Board appointed Theodore Lamb, custodian, of the City Bldg. , to date from July 21st, 1919 . The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 570-1919 providing for the improvement of the alley between North 12th and 13th Streets from North "C" to North "lief St. , by constructing a cement roadway the full width thereof. The Clerk was instructed to notify Fred Corcoran of 115 North 12th Street to have the trash in the alley at the rear of his property removed. 33E3 Thursday, July 24, 1919 . The Board instructed the Clerk to have the Police Dept. to notify property owners to have the paper removed from the alleys between South 6th & 7th 5ts® south of Main froth Main to "A" St . , also the alley between North 12th & 13th Streets from "A" to "C" Street , and the alley between North 16th and 17th Streets from "B" to "C". The Clerk was instructed to notify the Mashmeyer, Granger Co. to place a larger container for trash at the rear of their store. Mayor Zimmerman read a letter from M. M. Muffley, Daniel G. Reid' s Secty. , notifying him of a shipment of some pheasants for the Glen Park. The Clerk was instructed to write Mr. Reid a letter of - thanks and appreciation. Mr. Peltz moved that the Saint John' s, and Friends Churches be granted permission to send up paper baloons at their picnics. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered. Mr. Peitz moved that Chas S- hideler, Aga'it for Mary K. Mastin, be notified to make necessary sewer connections for her property on North 2nd St. , and from this date the water must not be allow- ed to run onto the M.E.L. & P.P. property. Seconded by Mr. Taylor so ordered. Mr. Peitz moved that the City Atty. draw up an ordinance appro- priating 0,800.00 for a new roof on the boiler room of the Light Plant.
