Ansley, L. Robinson, D. Lambert, J. King, C. Smith and J. Graham. President Selfridge called meeting to order at 7:34 p.m. with pledge to the flab. Roll call was taken. All members of the Board were present. President Selfridge ask if there were any additions to agenda. Two Village residents requested to be added. Roger Dennison -. American Legion, Plainfield Fest Pastor Prui.t - first Baptist Church, Plainfield Pest. D. Lambert made a motion to approve minutes of June 7 and June 21, 1982. Seconded by ~. Graham. Vote by roll call. Ansley, aye; Robinson, aye; Lambert, aye; King, pass; Smith., aye; Graham, aye. 5 ayes, 1 pass. Motion declared carried. L.. Robinson informed the Board Judy Watson received a Certificate from Illinois Emergency Services and Disaster Agency for completing the Advanced Coordinator Seminar. C. Smith informed the Board he has inspected all sidewalk replacements Shaughnessy Construction. Company has• completed and the work was very unsatisfactory. Mr. Shaughnessy was. nformed,.th.e contract was closed. With approval of the Board, C. Smith suggested to rebid for sidewalk replacement. J. Graham made motion to rebid sidewalk replacement. Lamli,.ert read bids for repairs to south wall of Old Village Hall R. Baish - $1,175.00 R. Rock ~ $1,070.00 D. Lambert made motion to accept the low bid of R. Rock $1070. Seconded by C. Smith. Joseph Ash representative of First Federal Savings & Loan of Chicago, located in Downers Grove, addressed the Board explaining First Federal Savings & Laan of Chicago has accepted the responsibility of Pheasant Chase Subdivision. Yn accordance with the Subdivision Control Ordinance, trees and sidewalks should be installed an the 36 lots not developed. They would like the Village to waive this portion of Ordinance until each lot is developed. The Board tabled this matter until a later date and ask M.r. Ash tv contact.Mr. Harvey if he had further questions. 8:20 Bids far 1982 Street Maintenance Crown/Trygg Corporation - $103,729.93 Delta Construction Co. - $ 45,858.00 Engineers estimate was $52,347.80 Plainfield Village Board of Trustees Kegular Meeting' July C, 1982 Page 2 C. Gene Ggrdon recommended the Board accept the casher?s checks for bid bonds, if they d~equest it. C. Smith made motion to approve George Ansley signing any necessary documents regarding 19$2 Street Maintenance. Seconded by J. Graham. Vote by roll call. Lambert made a motion to approve Resolution 1f81$: Resolution with State of Illinois, Department of Transportation awarding the FAU Plaza Drive Contract to Lowest bidder Delta Construction Incorporated. Lambert made a oration to approve Ordinance X61035: Parking is permitted on North Side of Plaza Drive from James Street to approximately 200 feet east of Pratt Lane; on East side of James Street from Plaza Drive to Commercial Street; West side o~ James Street from Commercial Street to Lockport Street. Lambert made a motion to approve Ordinance 661036: No person shall discharge or allow or cause to be discharged any sanitary sewage or any industrial waste into .the storm sewers located on certain. portions of River Road, James Street, Lockport Street, Plaza Drive and Illinois Route 59. Seconded by J. King. Vote by roll call Ansley, aye; Robinson, aye; Lambert, aye; King, aye; Smith aye; Graham, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried Mayor Selfridge appointed Arthur flaish as Resident Engineer on the FAU Plaza Drive project. #. /l~ ~ g ~ D. Lambert made a motion to approve Ordinance ~~ Two Temporary Liquor Licenses for Plainfield k'est July 16th, 17th,and 18th, 1982. 1. Jaycees Beer Garden at Sa.da Commercial Park on Illinois Route 59. 2. Plainfield American Legion Beer Garden at 704 Division Street. Seconded by C. Smita.h. Vote by roll call. Mayor Selfridge as Liquor Commissioner denied a Temporary Liquor Licence for 70.4 Division Street, he approved the Temporary Liquor License for Bada Commercial dark on Route 126. G. Ansley made a motion to approve Revenue Sharing distribution: payment on Village hall $14,800..00 Senior Services Center 1,200.00 ~a.rkxng Lot payment 3,700.00 Village Hall dumpster 1,.500.00 Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center 800.00 Dispatching 5,000.00 Village Administrator 5,000.00 TOTAL $32,000.00 Seconded by J. Mr. Puetz addressed the Board on the poor workmanship of the sidewalk repair in Front of his home. Mayor Selfridge suggested a check should be made on sidewalk at.cornor of Bartlett Avenue and Lockport Street in one year, to see if sidewalk is holding up. 9:32 Meeting adjourned to executive session. • Vera J.
