PLAINFIELD VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Regular Meeting
DATE: May 17, 1982
AT: Village Hall
MEMBERS OF BOARD PRESENT: President R. Selfridge, Trustees G. Ansley, J. Graham,
J. King, D, Lambert, L. Robinson and C. Smith
President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the pledge to the flag.
Roll call was taken. All members of the Board were present.
G. Ansley made a motion to approve the agenda as written and to adjourn to executive
session to discuss personnel. Seconded by L. Robinson. Vote by roll call: Ansley,
aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no
nays. Motion declared carried.
J. King made a motion to approve current invoices for payment. Seconded by D. Lambert.
Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye; Lambert, aye, Robinson, aye;
and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared carried.
President signed a Proclamation proclaiming June 13th. as the 18th. Annual Midwest
Music Festival day in Plainfield.
G. Ansley made a motion to acknowledge receipt of the Treasurer's April report.
SeGOnded by J. King. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye;
Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion declared
carried.
President appointed the following to serve on the Plan Commission:
Arlo Simmons - Chairman - 1 yr. term
H. Bayer - Go-Chairman - l yr. term
James Hamilton - 2 yr. term
Mary Latta - 2 yr. term
L. Robinson - 1 yr. term
D. Lambert - 1 yr. term
John Myers - 1 yr. term

J. King made a motion to appoint Vera Krnac as temporary Deputy Village Clerk effective
June 1, 1982. Seconded by C. Smith. Vote by roll call: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye;
King, aye; Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye; and Smith, aye. 6 ayes, no nays. Motion
declared carried.
D. Lambert made a motion to reappoint the following on a temporary basis:

No bids were received for the 1976 Chevrolet Blazer.

At 8:00 p.m. the President called the Federal Revenue Sharing Hearing to order.
The following requests were presented.
Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center - $1,000.00
Senior Services Center - $1,500.00

At 8:15 p.m. G. Ansley made a motion to close the hearing. Seconded by J. Graham.
Vote by ro11 ca11: Ansley, aye; Graham, aye; King, aye, Lambert, aye; Robinson, aye;
and Smith, aye. Motion carried.
Michael Lambert read a letter from the Plainfield Fire District stating they wish to
decline on the proposed temporary beer license they requested at the last board meeting.
On motion meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. to executive session.
